| | DECEMBER 20244We, Indians, lost one of its finest warriors this year, Ratan Tata. It's a massive loss for the country, especially considering how his vision and drive to take this country forward would have helped our progress. India nurtures an ambitious dream of becoming a developed country by 2047. One of the most significant short-term milestones toward that journey is becoming the third-largest economy in the world, with a GDP of $5 trillion, over the next three years. The business realm, especially the visionary leaders, has a huge role. They can help India Inc. lead this tech-ade.According to Mordor Intelligence, the digital transformation market in India is expected to reach $89.88 billion in 2024, and grow to $229.59 billion by 2029. Another forecast by BCG shows that digital platforms could contribute $500 billion to India's GDP by the end of the year, comprising 10 percent of the total economy. Business leaders must participate in this growing technology ecosystem to hack new growth opportunities, and in turn, do their part in nation-building. The signs are good, as a LinkedIn study shows that 82 percent of leaders in India expect the speed of transformation to hasten. However, something they will have to really focus on while pressing the pedal of technology transformation is digital marketing. According to a new report by marketsandmarkets.com, the global cybersecurity market size is expected to grow from $173.5 billion in 2022 to $266.2 billion by 2027, at a CAGR of 8.9 percent. The trends driving the cyber security market include the growing adoption of IoT security solutions, the adoption of cloud-based cyber security solutions, and increased BYOD trends. Ensuring zero-trust policies and creating awareness among end-point users only make up the basic necessity for organizations to secure their future. Congratulations to all the leaders featured in this yearly special issue. Their efforts have paid off, and it's high time they received the recognition.
