Businesses are going through a tough phase as of now and the pandemic outbreak and the resulting lockdown have marked the end of various businesses that couldn’t cope with the adverse economic impacts caused by the same. When asked about how a business organization can strive for success in this far from ideal business conditions, Kohin Bellara who is the Chief Business Officer(CBO) of The Adroit says, “Having adequate finance and having the right mindset is crucial to run a successful business in the current highly competitive market realm. Management of the finance and creating a good team is also important to strive for consistent growth”.

In an exclusive interview with CEO INSIGHTS, Kohin talks more about his professional journey and how he has been able to guide The Adroit towards sustained success in the industry.

Can you talk more about your educational and professional background?
After completing my graduation in logistics, I went to Dubai and I worked for various logistics companies. I wanted to experience the international market and this gave me international exposure. After three years I came back to India to do my PGDM with specialization in marketing. After completing this, I got the opportunity to work with a real estate company where I found that the entire marketing was following a traditional approach. When I started
with the company, I was handling both the roles of a marketing executive and business developer. This was seven years ago and I saw an immense potential in incorporating digital mediums to boost our marketing strategies. This helped me to understand that digital marketing is my forte and I shifted to working with different agencies over the next few years.

This helped me a lot to get to know the ins and outs of the industry and in 2020, I joined The Adroit and I was part of the business development team where I got the opportunity to lead the social media marketing unit of the company. I have been able to play an integral part in the success and growth of the company and have been able to bring value-addition to our client’s operations through our services by leveraging my industry expertise and marketing acumen.

What roles have you been playing at the company?
The Adroit is a very technology-based company and owing to my experience, I was able to create a business plan for the company and after that onboard the right kind of people that is in sync with our vision and mission. I have multiple roles at the company including client servicing, business strategy development, marketing, brand building, recruitment, P and L and decision-making roles in general. I have also been able to use my networks in the industry to improve the quality of our services on a consistent basis. I also make sure that we handhold the clients during the entire process and this has also helped me to gain the trust of our clients. When I joined the company, I also helped The Adroit when it comes to finalizing what kind of services we are going to offer, how
are we going to be unique from the rest of the competition and where will we be positioned in the industry etc.

How do you chalk out innovative business strategies for the clients?
Every thing starts from the clients and their requirements. I try to understand the need of the client and then we work on how we can offer the best results for our clients. So, there is an understanding stage, a strategy stage, a thought process stage, a presentation stage and an execution stage. After the execution, we also make sure that we market it in an optimal manner so that our clients get the best possible results. I also try to make sure that the services that we offer to our clients have got a personal touch to it. For example, if we are creating a website for our clients, we make it completely personal so that they get the maximum traffic out of it.

How do you keep yourself updated with the latest trends in the industry?
I have built a strong network in the industry and this helps me to remain current in the market and apart from this, reading also helps me to know the latest trends happening in the domain.

In your professional journey so far which are the milestones that bestowed you utmost satisfaction?
The growth in the last two years has been a motivating factor for me and that has given me the confidence to possibly take up an entrepreneurial route down the line. I also believe that even amidst the pandemic, I have remained positive which has helped me to be a much stronger and more confident individualand professional.
