Shreyas, who is still a B.Tech student, started his own business Revenyour, in 2020 with the help and guidance of his friends and family. He is a dedicated team player that strives for team success through hard effort and understanding.

In India, e-Commerce has revolutionized the way of conducting business. The Indian e-Commerce business has been on the rise, and by 2034, it is predicted to overtake the United States as the world's second largest e-Commerce market. The Indian e-commerce sector will increase at a 27 percent CAGR from $30 billion in 2019 to $99 billion in 2024. According to For rester Research, e-Commerce sales in India are expected to increase by 7-8 percent in 2020. According to a Payoneer analysis, India's e-Commerce sector is ranked 9th in the world for cross border growth.

Being a young entrepreneur, Shreyas Mathur is an enthusiastic team player who is willing to contribute to the success of the team through hard work and understanding. CEO Insights interviewed Shreyas Mathur (Co-Founder) of Revenyour, wherein he briefed us about the inception story of the company and the efforts that have been put in by the team to make it a success.

Please share with us a glimpse of your educational and professional background. Share with us about the inception story of Revenyour. What inspired you to get into e-Commerce business?
I passed my 12th standard in 2019
and am currently pursuing B.Tech at SRM Institue of Science and Technology in Ghaziabad. And my professional adventure began last year during the lockdown, and I'm still learning new things and putting them into my career as I progress. I was learning web development and had created a dummy website that I had published on the internet. As a result, I informed my friends, family, and everyone, and all of them were quite helpful in this case. Later, we devised a strategy and founded Revenyour, while COVID was at its peak at the time.

Revenyour's launch was a pivotal event for me, and we will be celebrating our one-year milestone soon


Revenyour is a web-based retailer that sells home decor and kitchen essentials. It all began in the year 2020. We're here to meet your daily needs and are eager to assist you! We have a large selection of products and provide the best service at reasonable pricing. We were assisting individuals through our website, and we began receiving calls about our products and services within three to four days of its launch. We made a good revenue in a short period, and the company is doing great.

What were the initial challenges that you encountered and how did you overcome them to reach the ladder of success?
We didn't know much about how to run a business at first, so we started from the ground up. The difficulties arose from a lack of understanding on how to design as well as promote our products, and other commercial procedures. We overcame them by learning from YouTube videos, which proved to be beneficial. The team focused on marketing our products for the first several months, and as time goes on we are still learning a lot about business.
Apart from being a Co-Founder, what different roles have you been undertaking at Revenyour?
My team members have given me the title of Co-Founder I do not have a specific function and work on everything that is required to run the company. We work as a team and the strategy of focusing on the tasks at hand is proving to be beneficial.

Explain in brief about your range of products with key emphasis on your flagship products.
Home decor goods are our core niche, with subcategories such as bedroom accessories, bathroom accessories, kitchen decor, wall decor, flooring stripes, some gifting products and more.

The e-Commerce industry is facing a very tough challenge from the retail segment currently. As the co-founders, how do you strategize to make your company effectively compete in this scenario?
Because social media is where the majority of traffic originates from, our key approach was to focus more and more on it. And we concentrated solely on social media marketing, producing some extremely intriguing and unique postings as a result. We had a lot of visitors to our sites, according to analytics, and the people were interested in our postings and the manner we presented our products to them.

What opportunities do you foresee in the current Retail industry, and what are your strategies to add for the next year's role as the Co-Founder, since things are changing dramatically?
It's a growing industry with a lot of opportunities and I am doing my best to get my hands on whatever I can. And we are launching a new platform, which is based on a food delivery system and we are currently in the process of developing it. So, in addition to retail and e-Commerce, we are concentrating on the food delivery market, which is a new venture for us.
