India, along with Brazil, Turkiye, Switzerland, Australia, Japan, and Korea, opposed the measures during the WTO Council for Trade in Goods meeting. The UK defended the move as a safeguard against global overcapacity and security risks. In 2025-26, India exported iron and steel products worth USD 893.4 million to the UK market amid ongoing discussions over a signed trade pact. Godrej Properties Ltd has awarded construc-tion contracts worth nearly Rs 1,100 crore to Tata Projects for three luxury residential projects on Golf Course Road in Gurugram, marking its largest single construction contract award so far. Tata Projects will exe-cute core and shell work for Godrej Sora, Godrej Astra, and Godrej Samaris, the lat-est project spread across 7.41 acres in Sector 53.The collaboration is the first between the two com-panies and aims to enhance execution quality, construc-tion efficiency, and timely delivery in Gurugram's pre-mium housing market. Tata Projects, known for projects including the New Parlia-ment Building and Noida International Airport, said the partnership aligns with its focus on sustainable and future-ready urban develop-ments across India's ex-panding luxury real estate sector. Uber has partnered with JSW Group to co-de-velop electric vehicles tailored for India's ride-hailing market, aiming to accelerate EV adoption and support the country's net-zero goals. The companies signed a memoran-dum of understanding at JSW's Mumbai headquarters, formal-ized by Dara Khosrowshahi and Parth Jindal.Under the agreement, Uber and JSW Green Mobility will explore localized EV solutions designed for the pricing and performance needs of Indian riders and drivers. Uber India and South Asia President Prabh-jeet Singh said the partnership reflects Uber's commitment to advancing sustainable mobility through collaborations with automakers, fleet operators, and infrastructure players. Uber also plans to expand technology investments and EV accessibility across India while supporting the government's broader push for cleaner and sustainable transportation nationwide.
