| | SEPTEMBER 20269The Karnataka Food Safety and Drugs Administration Department has suspended the food licenses of Amazon, Swig-gy Instamart and BigBasket until further notice after Datura fruits and seeds were found being market-ed as food products. The action followed an inquiry into the online sale and advertise-ment of Datura for human con-sumption. Officials said the toxic seeds and fruits pose a significant public health risk. The department found Datura products listed on multiple plat-forms, with some packets carrying FSSAI license or registration num-bers. The three companies have been directed to remove listings and advertisements and stop selling or distributing the products as food. Amazon did not respond, while Swiggy sought additional time. BigBasket said it had stopped sales and would revise labels to state "Not for human consumption." The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) has launched its first Egg Bank in India in Bengaluru to pro-Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) and Jio-bp have partnered to integrate their EV charging networks, expanding public charging access for electric vehicle users across India. More than 7,000 Jio-bp pulse charging stations will be added to HMIL's myHyundai app across 300-plus cities, increasing available charging points from over 30,000 to more than 37,000. Jio-bp's network includes 60 kW to 480 kW DC fast chargers, with 96% stated uptime, and stations along major national highways.
