| | JULY 20269Tata Power has set a target of achieving Rs.1 lakh crore in revenue and Rs.10,000 crore in profit by 2030, driven by expansion across generation, transmission, distribution, renew-ables, rooftop solar, EV charging, and manufacturing. In FY26, the company reported consolidated revenue of Rs.63,681 crore and net profit of Rs.5,212 crore. Chairman N. Chandrasekaran announced plans to establish a new 10 GW solar manufacturing facility in Odisha, complementing existing capacity in Tamil Nadu and Bengaluru. The company aims to build 30 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.Tata Power is also advancing its nuclear ambitions, exploring small modular reactors through feasibility studies while collaborat-ing with Nuclear Power Corpora-tion of India on future projects to diversify its clean energy portfolio further. India and France have strengthened cooperation in the critical miner-als sector by holding the inaugural meeting of the India-France Joint Working Group on Critical Minerals in New Delhi. The meeting was co-chaired by Benjamin Gal-lezot, France's Interministe-rial Delegate for Strategic Minerals and Metals Sup-plies, and Kadam Sandeep Vasant, Joint Secretary overseeing India's National Critical Mineral Mission. Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in the exploration, processing, recycling, and sustainable supply of critical minerals and rare earth elements to support clean energy and advanced manufacturing. Both countries also explored joint projects in mineral-rich nations and reaffirmed scientific coopera-tion between France's Bureau of Geological and Mining Re-search (BRGM) and the Geo-logical Survey of India across the entire critical minerals value chain together. South West Pinnacle Exploration Ltd (SWPE) has secured a contract extension from Reliance Industries Ltd for coal bed methane (CBM) production services in Madhya Pradesh. Valued at approximately Rs.166.82 crore, including GST, the renewed agree-ment is expected to begin generating revenue from the second quarter of FY27. As equipment, personnel, and resources are already deployed at the project site, operations will continue without additional mobiliza-tion costs. SWPE has previously completed two CBM projects for Reliance and contin-ues to provide production services under the existing agreement.The extension lifts the company's order book above Rs.760 crore, providing rev-enue visibility for the next two to three years and rein-forcing its long-term growth strategy and operational stability while supporting India's energy security objectives.
