What are the innovative methodologies/ technologies that you deploy across your programs to deliver an interactive learning experience for the students?
To deliver the interactive learning experience, we have framed a three ‘I’s methodology that is deployed across all our programs ‘Interdisciplinary’ methodology, ‘Instructive’ approach and ‘Internationalized’ perspective. The three ‘I’s come together to put our viewpoint to the fore as a leading innovator in the realm of higher educational institutes in India.

‘Our ‘Instructive’ approach focuses on providing a T-shaped education for the professionals of tomorrow. This well-thought-out design element provides a glimpse on how we are tackling the new approaches in education. Our blended approach of classrooms and theoretical education is mixed with online classes and software which help us make our students understand the key features of every concept being taught at the university campus.

Internationalization’ becomes one of the key goals of any higher educational institute with a global approach like ours. I firmly believe that an international approach makes our students much more confident as they come in touch

with different parts of global society and learn to see how people tackle problems from a different perspective. We have recruited international faculty to synthesize this creative vision to add more international faculty as the years’ progress. We have partnered with various universities of the USA, UK and Europe to promote inter-campus diversity with a special focus on exchange programs with multiple universities. We have developed a business-validated, competency-based curriculum that benchmarks against the internationally developed frameworks such as Accreditation Board of Engineering & Technology (ABET, USA), Computing Science Accreditation Board (CSAB, USA), National Association of Schools of Arts and Design (NASAD, USA), and the Subject Benchmark Statements as provided by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), UK.

Brief us about your faculty of scholars, their professional experiences and expertise in the industry.
Our faculty is highly capable with in-depth professional experiences and expertise in their fields. They are cutting-edge experts with special abilities in combining a professional knowledge base for participatory interface in academia evolving innovative teaching learning modules. We also have a PhD research committee that consists of eminent professors and leaders in education from across the globe including professors from Kingston University, Southern Illinois University, MIT, USA.

Are you coming up with any innovation or upgradation to enhance your existing research programs so that the learning outcomes of students can be improved?
Striving to encourage individual and multi-disciplinary excellence in research, we collectively focus on problems of global significance and provide innovative and sustainable solutions. ADYPU has the following value values at its core when it comes to enhancing research under its wings mastering the research skills and techniques, conducting research with scholarly integrity, contributing to original research of an academic standard that is inter-disciplinary, critically analyzing and synthesize innovative and complex research ideas, communicating with the peers about his or her areas of expertise.

ADYPU has identified five thematic areas which aim to support responsive and problem solving interdisciplinary research. Our research themes focus on being the forerunner in combating the Grand Challenge of creating prosperous communities in emergent creative and data-driven digital economies. Through our interdisciplinary focus, we endeavour to collaborate with industry academia stakeholders to

generate new ideas, good jobs, better-earning capacities as well as lay the foundation forsuccessful entrepreneurship. Each of these themes strives to balance the need to deepen fundamental research as well as to focus on real impact through application to new age societal issues. The following research themes are identified by ADYPU which includes Technology for the Future, Health & Well-being, Digital Futures, Community and Livable Societies, and Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

How are you updating yourself with the latest technologies/education sector trends to make Ajeenkya DY Patil University to instil the management vigor among the students?
We have always primed ourselves as the leading innovators in higher education in this country and when we take into cognizance the actuality of innovation, we realize that we must constantly push towards a goal that changes with the challenges of the time. This also means that at any time our learner centric curriculum is to be set at such a level that it pummels the standard benchmarks of contemporary pedagogy. I have taken it upon me to push forwards the boundaries and work towards actualizing the noble vision of revolutionizing the teaching and learning methodology which is aligned with the interactive technology of the future. ADYPU will continue to pursue its unending goal of academic excellence and it is only with this excellence that we can measure learning as the yardstick through which we can provide evidence of our success.

Shri Hrridaysh, Vice Chancellor
An education entrepreneur over the decades, Shri Hrridaysh has been associated with the India Design Council (IDC) as the consultant advisor, He has been the jury member of world’s largest student design event; Taiwan International Student design competition, as well as the jury at Good Design Awards Japan for 2013, 14, 15 and 17 volumes. Apart from being responsible for establishment of many universities, schools, Engineering Colleges, Management Institutes, he has also overlooked the strategy, implementation and daily issues of running educational institutions of wide variety offering training in niche areas. With specialities including Innovation, Design Thinking, setting up of Institutions, Strategic Planning, Strategic Alliances, Education Management, he is currently focusing entirely on ADYPU and its outstanding devotion to being the leading innovator in higher education.
