
PM Narendra Modi Inaugurate The Bharat Pavilion at WAVESummit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the Bharat Pavilion at the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Mumbai . Bharat Pavilion is billed as a vibrant tribute to India's legacy of storytelling.
The pavilion with the theme "Kala to Code" is said to celebrate India's spirit of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' , showcasing the country's artistic traditions that have long been a beacon of creativity, harmony and cultural diplomacy. Here, he addressed a huge audience that included celebrities from the film industries throughout India and other content creators.
The PM spoke extensively about the content made in India and the capability of the content creators to lead the country to an economic boom. He also promised further initiatives like WAVES awards in the near future.
PMat WAVES Summit 2025 emphasized, “We need to save young generations from tendencies against humanism.”
The PMO stated, “WAVES 2025 is a first-of-its-kind summit in India. The summit will feature 42 plenary sessions, 39 breakout sessions, and 32 master classes spanning diverse sectors including broadcasting, infotainment, AVGC-XR, films, and digital media.”

“The Bharat Pavilion at Waves showcases our cinematic tradition and the opportunities that await in our country. I call upon the world to come to India and explore the creative opportunities here. When it comes to cinema and creativity, Maharashtra has a pivotal role. The state has nurtured generations of people associated with the world of creativity and cinema. Maharashtra's cultural depth and artistic energy continue to positively influence the entertainment sector”, PM said in one of his post on “X (formerly Twitter).”
