The US Chamber of Commerce’s US-India Business Council (USIBC) said it has added four members to its India Advisory Council (IAC) to bring new perspectives to the organisation’s India-based executive leadership committee as trade and investment between India and the United States enters a new phase of growth after the pandemic. The four new additions to the IAC will join current members like Rekha Menon, Chairperson & Senior MD India, Accenture, Naina Lal Kidwai, Chairperson, India Advisory Board, Advent Private Equity, Pavan Mocherla, MD, BD-India/South Asia, Advamed, Simon George, President, Cargill India, Sandip Patel, GM, IBM India & South Asia & MD IBM India, Nivruti Rai, Country Head, Intel India and others.

The additions to the IAC are Ramesh Ramadurai, Managing Director, 3M India, Alok Ohrie, President and Managing Director, Dell Technologies India, Sarthak Ranade, Managing Director, Janssen India (The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson) and Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India. “The IAC
comprises a highly influential network of senior India-based executives and thought leaders committed to growing trade and investment between the US and India”, Ambassador(Ret.) Atul Keshap, President, USIBC said in a statement.

"As the newest members of this group, we expect Ramesh, Alok, Sarthak, and Anant will enable USIBC to rise to new heights its policy leadership in the life sciences, digital technology, and manufacturing sectors”, he added. Arundhati Bhattacharya, CEO and Chairperson, Sales force India who has assumed the role of IAC Chair said the council plays a strategic role in the way business and government engage. Formed in 2017, The India Advisory Council serves as a premier strategic body for representatives of Indian companies and Indian affiliates of American companies including CEOs, presidents, managing directors, and chairpersons to collaborate on a forward looking advocacy agenda in India. Representing all major sectors, the IAC bolsters USIBCs mission to promote bilateral trade and investment between the US and India and spearheads coordinated advocacy for crosscutting initiatives including global health, supply chain resiliency, and the energy transition.
