Could you share a concise overview of your profe- ssional journey and experiences? What motivated you to found Shreeji, and what continues to fuel your passion today?
With early experience in the construction industry, a strong business mindset as a Gujarati, and the Almighty’s blessings, I founded Shreeji Associates and Engineers in 1994. Today, we stand as one of the leading PHE contractors in Bangalore. My mentors, my father and Mr. Vasudev Murthy, played a crucial role in providing a solid foundation for the business during its formative years. This success is also attributed to our exceptional team at Shreeji. We maintain the same commitment to quality that we started with 30 years ago, working on significant projects with major Clients/ Consultants/ Architects like Brigade(Utopia, Tech-park, Mea- dows, etc) , Bagmane- (Google, Amazon, etc), DNR (Parklink, Altitude, etc), Divyasree, Embassy, TATA, Baxter, TAJ SATS, Manyata, RMZ (Infinity, Ecoworld, etc), Mahindra, TVS, Purvankara, Labzone, All Cargo Logistics,

What quality control measures has your company implemented to ensure the highest standard of offerings in the industry?
We are committed to delivering the highest quality in the industry by meticulously managing every purchase, site execution process till handover. Our philosophy is that the quality of the initial investment determines the final outcome. Both our Purchase and Execution teams are exceptionally strong and self-motivated, guided by the principle that 'FIRST TIME RIGHT SAVES TIME, MONEY, AND STRESS' especially in plumbing works. We have executed works to six sigma levels with 99 percent leak proof buildings
Safety is another crucial aspect of our quality assurance. Given the inherent risks in the construction field, maintaining a flawless safety record is vital. Over the past 30 years, we have a track record of ZERO major accidents, thanks to our team's dedication to the safety of every member, regardless of their role. We ensure that everyone, from junior helpers to senior managers, is equally valued and equipped with the best tools in the industry.
What initiatives have you implemented to align with your sustainability vision?
Delivering exceptional quality and safety at competitive rates leads to repeat business from our clients. We have maintained long-term relationships with clients and Consultants such as Brigade, Designtree Consultants and others for over 25 years, securing continuous orders. My role as a NEC member with the Indian Plumbing Association has provided valuable insights into the plumbing industry. Our vision and mission statements guide our ongoing growth and success. Also being the secretary of Amarjyoti Residents Welfare Association and Committee Member of Shree Indiranagar Gujarati Association has helped

I continually learn from my colleagues and maintain the humility to acknowledge that, as a leader, I do not have all the answers. I have never believed in MBA (its full form in Gujarati on a lighter note means 'Mane Badhu Aavdeche' meaning I know every thing). I always consult with my team before making any decisions, valuing their input and perspectives to ensure well-informed choices. I come across so many Gurus in everyday life from whom we keep learning. Everyday is a challenge and you have to find unorthodox innovations and solutions especially in our Unorganized Construction field.
What is the future destination you are aiming for, and what advice would you offer to aspiring leaders in the industry?
Our vision is to establish Shreeji as the premier construction services company, recognized for unparalleled quality and excellence. We aspire for Shreeji to become synonymous with the highest standards in the industry and to be regarded as the best company to work for. For aspiring leaders, my advice is to immerse yourself in every aspect of the work from the grassroots level and work relentlessly to achieve your goals. Dedication and perseverance day in and day out are key. Additionally, prioritize building and maintaining strong public relations. Effective networking and a positive reputation are essential for advancing in the industry and achieving long-term success. There is elevator to success, you have to take the stairs.

As a key figure at Shreeji Associates and Engi-neers, Balkrishna is com- mitted to emphasizing meticulous purchase mana-gement, precise execution and robust safety practices. With his son also joining the business, has given him a shot in the arm to take Shreeji to new heights. His happiness, well-being and successes are deeply rooted in the support of his parents, loving wife, daughter, and son.
