Charudatt Salvi, who has a degree in mechanical engineering, is responsible for Managing Sales and Operations at Duracool Airconditioning. He has worked in HVAC Industry for over 25+ years, and his experience includes stints at many multinational corporations & in various states of India. In 2018, Charudatt Salvi took up the leadership role at Duracool Airconditioning and has overseen the company since then.

What motivates you as a market leader?
After 24 years of employment, I realized that whatever expertise I had acquired was always from the other side of the table. Operating for a large company or multinational corporation means working under specific constraints that make it difficult sometimes to implement all your ideas and plans. But when we run our businesses, we get to do things the way we've always felt were right, or even better. That's why I'm always thinking of new methods to enhance our services and delight our clientele. That's what keeps pushing me ahead.

How would you define Duracool Air conditioning as an organization and its current position in the market?
Twenty two years ago, a young man who was a first generation
entrepreneur launched Duracool Air conditioning. He had no experience in the field. As a result of his belief that the market for this product was expanding, he began making substantial investments in it. In the past 20 years, the firm has moved beyond its original base in Mumbai to establish operations in seven other major cities throughout India. The city of Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, and Ahmedabad, all have the Duracool Airconditioning's strong presence. In a short period, the company grew exponentially.

Our Proposed Solution has to be Sustainable-environmentally & energy efficiency wise, we don’t push any solution to the customer but help them to choose the best suited for them

The original focus was on Room Air conditioners, from where the business began. However, they quickly acquired the necessary knowledge and expertise and expanded their services to include all aspects of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. This business is now equipped to handle any HVAC need that may arise. The company continues to learn, and invest in new technology & upgrading its manpower skills bodes well. That's where we've gotten to, and from what I can see, they're leaving no stone unturned to expand even more.

What are the fundamental factors you take into consideration while suggesting air conditioning solutions to your clients?
As one of our two primary pillars, we understand the needs of our clientele, knowing the precise nature of their need allows us to choose among two or three solutions, each of which comes with its own set of pros & cons. We offer our clients the rundown with Total Life Cost Analysis & Sustainability of our proposed solutions approaches may lead them to their desired outcomes, and it is ultimately up to the client to decide which one is best for them. We don’t push our clients for any specific solutions but help them in choosing the best solution for them.

We put ourselves in the customer's shoes to see whether we would
choose the same solution, and if we don't think it's the best option we don't provide it as an option. That is really how we have been functioning.

Elaborate about the technology framework built within the company’s solutions and which are the latest technology trends that the company is planning to adopt.
To maintain Duracool Airconditioning’s significant advantage over the competitors, the company has been investing extensively in cutting-edge technology & upgrading its team’s skills. New Technologies based on artificial intelligence(AI) and the Internet of Things(IoT) may be combined with energy-saving solutions to create a sustainable system that can be used in the HVAC sector to have continuous monitoring, and account ability of service providers to improve the overall performance & life of HVAC system. We are now devoting a great deal of effort, time, and capital to the development of such technologies. Therefore we can differentiate our selves from the competition and provide our clients with a more desirable service. Since all major multinational corporations now have representative offices in India, it stands to reason that those based in Europe, The United States or elsewhere would want to see the same kind of technological advancements and solutions implemented in Indian market.

Thankfully, there are no longer any barriers to bringing advanced technology into India, and they may all be put into practice. In light of what I've just told you about the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence(AI), we're also giving serious consideration to the quality of the air within buildings i.e. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). We have spent the past two to three years honing our focus on these three factors, and we will soon roll out products, dealerships, and marketing permissions related to these areas.
