While the sector has tremendously evolved over the years with the introduction of advanced technologies and digitalization, it is still driven by human connections and relationships between investors and advisors. A seasoned Private Banker with 18 years of experience in managing WEALTH, Gaurav Setia has been providing tailor-made wealth management services based on the financial goals of his clients through his wealth management and financial services firm, VNN WEALTH. Under his able leadership, the firm has been experiencing rapid growth with clients across India, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Gibraltar, and London.

In an exclusive interview with CEO Insights, Gaurav discusses VNN WEALTH and its current market position his leadership style, and success mantra, and many more:

How would you define VNN WEALTH as an organization and its position in the market? What is the unique proposition that your organization offers to clients?
VNN WEALTH is a Pune-based wealth management and financial services firm that provides unbiased, & holistic wealth management solutions tailored to its clients’ financial objectives. A highly professional firm unencumbered by proprietary obligations, VNN WEALTH has clients across India, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Gibraltar, and London. Since the beginning, we strive to create an environment of trust and transparency that helps make our clients feel secure and trust that their investments are being managed with their best interests in mind. A majority of our clientele are CXOs, NRIs, & Merchant Navy (Sailors).

While it's very rare to find transparency in this space, at VNN WEALTH, we spend a good amount of time with each of our investors explaining each aspect of the financial product in which their
money is being invested in detail. Before adding products, we also take the entire portfolio of the client into consideration, which includes portfolios with other brokers.

You possess eighteen years of experience. How has been your path to success and what is your success mantra?
Over the years, I have built a strong reputation as a trustworthy and knowledgeable leader while successfully navigating through the complexities of the financial industry. Client satisfaction has always been my primary focus, and I have worked tirelessly to ensure that our clients get the best possible service and advice. When it comes to new products, strategies, and technology, I always look for ways to stay ahead of the curve and have developed a deep understanding of the changing dynamics of the industry.

My success mantra has been never to stop learning. I have worked hard to be a leader in my field while staying abreast of the latest market trends and regulations. I constantly challenge myself to think outside the box and find innovative solutions to complex problems. I also have learned the importance of collaboration and surrounding myself with a team of passionate and talented individuals who share my vision. Networking and building relationships with other industry professionals has also been instrumental in my success.

What are the fundamental factors you consider while suggesting financial/WEALTH management plans to your customers? How do you personalize your offerings?
As a Wealth management company, our fundamental mission is to help our customers maximize their financial well-being. When suggesting a financial/wealth management plan, we consider various factors, such as existing assets, income future financial goals,tax considerations, liquidity preferences, risk tolerance, time horizon, and investment experience.

In addition to evaluating each customer’s current financial situation, we also seek to understand their hopes and dreams
for the future. This helps us ensure that the plans we create are relevant and aligned with each customer’s lifestyle and long term goals.

We also strive to provide personalized service that goes beyond just creating a financial plan. We actively monitor the markets and keep our customers up to date on any changes or developments that could affect their investments.

What is the future destination you are heading towards?
Having both found success and our client’s trust in Pune, we have plans to increase our physical footprints in Goa, Nasik, Nagpur, and Mumbai by 2024. At the same time, we see the younger generation struggling to understand their portfolio. Most of them started investing during and post-COVID times on DIY platforms. Wrong expectations were set right from the beginning as they invested in funds purely based on past performance using DIY apps but are now confused as there is no return on their portfolios in a range-bound market.

To solve this problem, we have invested on the technology front by setting up a Hybrid model, where technology and our experience in wealth management come together to guide them on their portfolio. The same can also be seen on our website, which is designed keeping a younger audience in mind by Riddhi Shewani, my Co-Founder. Riddhi handles our entire digital presence, including the website, app, and social media.
