What prompted your decision to establish your company in Odisha? How has the region supported and facilitated your operations thus far?
Odisha boasts significant potential in the infrastructure and construction industry. Our future plans involve not only broadening our presence in various infrastructure sectors within Odisha but also aspiring to become a leading construction company. The state offers extensive prospects for infrastructural development across multiple avenues, presenting ample opportunities for business expansion. Furthermore, the availability of skilled manpower and abundant natural resources has proven to be advantageous for our endeavors.

GEPL has already set itself apart from competitors in the construction industry, driven by its emphasis on innovation, construction excellence, and timely project completion. Staying true to this trajectory, their goal is to further solidify their standing in the industry. The future of India's construction and infrastructure sectors holds immense promise. Over the forthcoming years, GEPL aims to thrive and position itself as a trailblazing construction company in India. This vision entails venturing into new infrastructure projects and exploring diverse geographical regions across the country.

In the light of your strong experience within the industry, what advice would you give to the budding industry leaders?
My advice to the emerging business leaders would be to never underestimate the value of time and to respect other’s time as well as time is one of the biggest asset that the youth of today have. Time lost is an opportunity lost.

Jitendra Kumar Lenka was born in 1972 in a small village located in the Cuttack district of Odisha. His father worked as a high school teacher while his mother dedicated her time to homemaking. He grew up with two brothers and two sisters and pursued his education at Ravenshaw University.
