The leaders of the firm worked towards success with humble beginnings beyond all obstacles, to becoming successful with dedication and effort. One of those leaders of the organization is Kranti Kiran Reddy (Managing Director, Janapriya Group) who is known for his visionary, communicative, decisive, and team oriented approach that he is leveraging to lead Janapriya’s decades-old legacy, adapting to real estate’s changing circumstances, whether they are related to technology, regulations, or complex & unpredictable market conditions.

From the time he joined Janapriya Upscale, he has been working on some of the most innovative projects across Hyderabad & Bengaluru, leading the company towards a bright future. He has achieved remarkable milestones for the firm ensuring that the company acquires skills in the construction space with the usage of Precast and German formwork capabilities to control quality and manage costs.

The right combination of leadership, drive, and talent has helped Kranti reach new heights. Let’s hear it from him.

Why was Telangana chosen to be the breeding ground
of your company? How has the place favored you so far in your operations?
We have been a Hyderabad-based company for over 38 years but along with that, we have been dealing with parallel businesses like commercial projects, in the US for over five years. Talking about Hyderabad, we saw immense growth in our business here when the Govt. announced unlimited FSI. As most of our land holdings are from Hyderabad, this provided us an opportunity to construct unlimited FSI in the city. It was great for fuelling our strength of construction technology and mechanized construction. We have been reliant on self-construction and the per acre property that was yielding about 80,000 per square foot suddenly spiked to yielding about 2,00,000 square foot per acre. Also, one of the reasons that made us stick to Telangana and expand our focus here is the properties that we own here and the reputation we hold as an organization.

As a leader, I try to provide the best of opportunities to all our employees at Janapriya & we do believe that it’s the team effort that has brought us this far

What makes Janapriya Upscale different from the other competitors in the market?
Janapriya aims to adapt to customer requirements with innovative financial offers, which has triggered growth in Janapriya like no other. Customers look up to buying properties of Janapriya for the quality and price we provide. We offer the best quality construction and the reason we can do that is because we are in a position to build on our own and keep the cost under check. We work with reputed architects and consultants for our design. Our technology allows us to build concrete walls and slabs and this helps in our Commitment and Quality compared to the others in the market. Janapriya is the first company in India to adopt German formwork technology and Precast technologies with more than 8000 apartments being delivered using these methods.
This transformation has made us a brand known for high-quality housing at a fast pace.

Tell us about your leadership approach.
As an organization, we have faced several challenges. Still, one thing that I am very proud of is, as a leader, I was able to ensure that most of my people were able to follow me throughout the journey and keep the company afloat. They've been with the company for more than two decades through the thick and thin times. The affection that is shown by them is immaculate and that happens when you, as a leader, are honest with them. As a leader, I try to provide the best of opportunities to all our employees at Janapriya and we do believe that it’s the team effort that has brought us this far.

What is the future destination you are heading towards?
Today Janapriya Upscale is in a great growth spot. With more of our projects coming up in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, two of the most promising cities in India, we are looking towards a future that is full of opportunities and expansion. Right now, the idea is to expand in these two cities and we are already on the way to firming up to have projects of about two crores square feet in both these places. Other than India, we are also building our second project in Texas, the US. With lesser intention of diverting my focus, I am putting all my efforts and investment into developing these three regions.
