Kinjal Jhaveri and Niketu Mehta, Co-Founders, 0

The penetration of multiple media channels is critical to the growth of the advertising sector. With its growing economy, India offers advertisers a plethora of options to promote their products and services through the region’s rising media outlets. Economic expansion has also resulted in a huge increase in the purchasing power of a large segment of the population, resulting in a brand conscious consumer base. As a result, businesses are concentrating their efforts on establishing a strong brand image through intensive advertising. The Indian advertising market grew rapidly from 2015 to 2020, and is predicted to increase at an annual rate of 11% from 2021 to 2026.

Krimson, a design and advertising business established in 2005, is a true design house with the brightest minds working on various projects. The Co-Founders Kinjal Jhaveri and Niketu Mehta design everything from bags to brochures, invitations to identity creation. They are flexible and prompt with guaranteed work satisfaction on the first attempt. CEO Insights interviewed Kinjal Jhaveri and Niketu Mehta, wherein they briefed us about their entrepreneurial journey and the challenges faced while hiking the ladder of success.

What were the initial challenges that you faced during the establishment of Krimson Ads that taught the basic lessons of leadership?
Niketu - The first hurdle I had when starting Krimson was my desire to be involved in every step of the process to ensure that quality was maintained at all times. After months of pushing myself thin, I decided it was time to reflect and my need to be involved stemmed from my reluctance to trust. Early on, I realized that trusting and delegating are essential components of a long-term plan, the approach I believe in is - ‘I am not the company’ and ‘we are the firm’ respectively. Hard work is required for success, yet failure is an inevitable part of the process and the possibilities are unlimited when you have a mindset based on that. On a personal level, the support I received from my wife Vaishali Mehta allowed me to focus on the business and overcome all of the difficulties in order to help the company succeed.

Tell us about the value-added services you have been providing to the clients.
Kinjal - Individual distinctions in humans should be reflected in the design, under no circumstances do we repeat our design for any client. Each client comes to us with a unique journey. Through our products and services, we empower our customers to express their uniqueness, and what makes the Krimson experience so personable is letting our clients know that they are being heard. One of the major factors that make our services stand out distinctive is we sharpen ideas and about our USP of not repeating our design ever.

Society today is witnessing the evolution of women leaders. What is your perspective towards it?
Share your experience of being a women leader. Kinjal - There are no limits to what women can achieve. I’m happy for the opportunity to be both a bystander and a participant in this evolution and every day, we see and
experience history being written and it’s nothing short of incredible. Women are powerful and this shift has been long needed and I was raised in a small, close-knit family and have always had a different sense of obligation as the oldest child. I would follow my father about like a shadow observing his reactions to various events, whatever I am today it is because of my father and father-in-law. I have tried to emulate his work ethic and capacity to deal with any scenario without surrendering his values. I have always known I was destined to be a leader because of his faith in me. As a woman, it’s critical to have unwavering faith in yourself because the world will try to undermine you at every turn!

As the CEO and Co-founder of the organization, what different roles and responsibilities all have been undertaking in Krimson Ads?
Niketu - My primary skill is design and being a CEO, I must ensure that the company’s operations are running smoothly. I gradually assumed client-service responsibilities since I enjoy engaging with individuals from all walks of life, hearing their stories motivates me to create things. I believe that my patience and ability to recognize and improve the capabilities of my team members as well as my ability toinspire them and make me an effective team manager when needed.

Through our products and services, we empower our customers to express their uniqueness, and what makes the krimson experience so personable is letting our clients know that they are being heard

Seasoned and Proven Business Leader specializing in creative designs and innovative art, how the strategies implemented by you transformed your work culture and client relationships?
Niketu - I believe I’m a wonderful storyteller, motivated by curiosity and my medium is merely different. Unless you’re reading the same book again and over, no two stories are alike and reading the same book again and over is tedious. The same may be said for design, we never tell the same story twice at Krimson. We’re continuously challenging ourselves to push for innovation rather than settle for boring and monotonous, therefore we look for inspiration in the most commonplace things and use our design and services to create one-of-a-kind experiences for our clients. Apart from that, it is critical to remain relevant as a firm and as an individual.

As a female leader, how are you influencing and inspiring others in and around your professional and personal stratum?
Kinjal - I believe my art speaks for itself, I would like my work to encourage individuals to pursue their passions with zeal while being true to their values and beliefs. Labor ethic and hard work will get you anywhere in the world and above all, I do it for my two sons as I want my children to grow up knowing that a woman’s role is never one. We play the parts of a daughter, sister, wife, mother, businesswoman, friend, aunt, mentor and I want them to grow up witnessing their father’s unwavering support for me in every manner possible so that one day they can do the same for their partners.

Another reason I was able to make an impact as a female businesswoman was owing to the support and motivation I received from my husband, Siddharth Jhaveri, and my in laws. With their guidance I was able to create a balance between my professional and personal life.
