In an exclusive interview with CEO Insights, Ambarish talks more about his professional journey and the unique business operations of OG Analysis.
Can you talk more about your educational and professional background?
I did my Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communications and after that I did my Master’s in Business Administration(MBA). I got hired during campus placements itself in a company called Global Data which is a company that is working in the energy domain and worked as both an Energy Analyst and a senior Research Analyst for the company. I worked there for three years and working on different facets of the business helped me to have a better understanding of the industry. Then, I got the opportunity to work for OG Analysis and I am currently holding the office of CEO of the company.
What are your roles and responsibi lities at the company? Also what are the challenges that you faced in this domain?
When I joined the company, it was a small data oriented company in the Oil and Gas field and after seeing the path in which the business was going, I decided to take the company towards the Market Research industry and we started moving towards offering market research in Pharma ceuticals, Healthcare and then in the Food and Beverages industry as well. Now, we have offerings in 13 key verticals and we are able to clock in impressive growth numbers. We have also been able to increase the strength of our team and build a loyal customer base. I believe that the reason behind our growth is the effort put in by all our employees and our ability to work as a team to achieve a common objective.
How are you leveraging your business expertise in the operations?
We primarily focus on quality adherence and sticking to the timeline. We always try to bring in a surprise element when dealing with our clients and we call it the 'O factor'. We acknowledge the fact that market research should be more client oriented and this has helped us to satisfy the needs of our clients. We are also among the top companies who are publishing quality reports and more importantly, rather than just
publishing reports we prepare the reports thinking from a client’s perspective. This helps us to give the best possible research reports for our clients and this in itself helps us to separate ourselves from most of the other players in the market. According to you, what makes a good leader?
We trust our employees and give them the freedom to think outside the box and be innovative. Coordination within the team is also something that we have prioritized on and all this has helped us to create a unique work culture in the organization that is helping our employees to excel. The top management also appreciate the employees and this makes them more motivated to give their best for the company.
In your professional journey so far which are the milestones that have bestowed you utmost satisfaction?
The work culture in the office is very motivating and this helps us to innovate more. Turning the company from a data centric organization to where we are now is in itself a huge milestone for me. Also we have created self-sustaining teams that are capable of operating at the highest of levels and this is also something that I take great pride in.
How do you update yourself with the latest trends in the industry and what are your future plans?
To keep myself current in the industry, I talk to a lot of people within the industry as well as people from different industry verticals. We also analyze the competition as well and for the future, we have already started building databases across the 13 verticals and three or four of them are already ready. We will give online access to clients to these data bases and they can utilize the data in that for their business operations.
