Give us a brief detail about your educational background & professional background and how has it helped you in your journey so far?
After graduating from Delhi University with B.Sc Hons, I completed my MBA from Pune University and began my career with Hindustan Thompson Associates as a management trainee. I have nearly 30 years of experience in the media industry and have previously worked with Contract Advertising, Mudra Communications, Lodestar, Glaxo SmithKline Beecham, Cheil Communications, Zenith Optimedia and Zee Enterprise.

Currently functioning as the Chief Revenue Officer at ABP Network, my growth journey at the network has been both a professional and a personal one. Amidst the many milestones of the brand, whether in terms of overcoming periodically shifting industry goalposts or conquering volatile scenarios, the evolution ofthe ABP network has incessantly challenged me, made me more resilient, and allowed me to expand my horizons.

As the CRO of the ABP Network, what different roles have you been undertaking at present?
I'm honored to have played a leading
role in the growth and evolution of the ABP Network. Ensuring its longevity in an ever changing market, I have always engaged myself in crafting benevolent strategies for the firm. Constructing hardcore revenue plans through conventional, commercial time selling and creating strong brand solutions in a content driven world have been some of my key roles at ABP Network.

Adopting new trends & technologies,understanding consumer behavior patterns and tailor-making propositions are all extremely important while developing an integrated plan


Apart from that, I have provided brand solutions in a far more engaging manner with more realtime selling. Collaborating with the marketing & sales teams to create properties that are tailor made to the clients needs, I have also leveraged content marketing to build a strong proposition for the brand.

How does your experience help you to chalk-out efficient business modules at ABP Network? What contextual factors do you take into account when developing a company's revenue strategy?
Operating in this volatile domain, under standing the media dynamics plays a crucial role. Not only being continuously cognizant, but sometimes staying ahead of the key vicissitudes in the industry is also imperative. And most importantly, being well versed and closely connected with the ever evolving consumer patterns are some of the most significant factors that need to be kept in mind while developing revenue strategies. Putting the above mentioned factors into practice, amalgamated with a deep knowledge of the advertising industry and its impact, I chart out extensive strategies and plans for the organization.

What were the initial challenges that taught you the basic lessons of managing diversified functions of organizations? Also,how did you manage to achieve the success that you had in the later phase?
Having an extremely client-focused approach is the key to success. My personal approach to work has always been ‘solution oriented' with just the right mix of 'innovation'. I look at interpretations that are beyond numbers in order to fully understanding the clients'businesses and challenges.

Describe a successful strategy you have used to meet companies' Revenue objectives and an effective method you have used to develop companies' revenue plans. What factors do you consider when developing a plan?
While developing a plan, it is paramount to understand the company's strength in order to create a powerful pitch to the
advertiser and construct a
compelling story. One thing I always ensure is that I'm well versed with the marketplace and all the emerging trends. By keeping oneself updated, one can easily imply and constructstrategies accordingly. Adopting new trends & technologies, under standing consumer behavior patterns, and tailor making propositions are all extremely important while developing an integrated plan. In the light of unpredictability in the industry, one needs to learn to adapt and execute by staying ahead of the curve.

How do you ensure to update yourself with the latest industry trends and technologies? Looking at the current pandemic and its long lasting impact, how are you preparing your company to deal with it?
For me, continuous learning is the path to achieve success. It is my personal belief that no recipe of success is complete without being open to new things and new learning processes, irrespective of how experienced you are. To excel in this post-pandemic world, we are only focusing on smaller,short term plans and strategies with immediate returns. However, at the same time, we have an overarching longterm vision that drives us towards our organizational goal.

In your professional journey so far, which are the milestones that bestowed you with utmost satisfaction both as an individual and as a CRO?
I have worked in highly intensive and aggressive working environments with challenging brands. In my memorable journey, I have been fortunate enough to be part of big brand launches of new channels at Zee such as Zindagi, and TV Living Foodz. Right from their initial brand perception to their business success, I have had the honor to shape the fortunes of such high profile brands. I'm proud to see that most of the brands that I have worked with have evolved as some of the most iconic brands of today.

Some of my biggest career milestones have been setting-up of the media department of at Cheil Communication and being part of the team, which revived the media at Zenith and made it one of the largest agencies in Delhi.
