Tell us about your professional background and experiences. How has been your journey so far with Homerton Grammar School and what drives you today?
I belonged to an educationist family who had been running Homerton Grammar School for 23 years before I joined it in 2006. For a brief period after my graduation, I worked with an Indo-French Consultancy as a Business Development Manager helping French companies establish themselves in India. Before joining Homerton Grammar School, I felt that the Education environment was changing were the foundation of each student needed to be made stronger and most importantly to teach them to persevere when facing challenges in life.
My journey with Homerton Grammar School has seen its fair share of ups and downs and it has been a place of immense learning and growth both personally & professionally. Today I am proud to say that after working hard for the past decade and a half here, I have been able to raise Homerton Grammar School to be considered one of the top schools in Faridabad. My ambition to take Homerton Grammar School to greater heights and mold it into a school that produces responsible and ethical human beings is the main driving force behind my motivation to keep leading this school.

Constant learning is necessary to remain a step ahead of the ever-changing competition.

Could you talk about the learnings & experiences that you acquired from Amity University and how you apply them in your current role?
Amity has been pivotal in shaping the professional I am today as the exposure both academically & in co-curricular activities gave me a lot of confidence and taught me how to lead a team. Through Amity’s initiative to encourage students to do summer internships, I got the chance to intern with Institut de-Touraine in France and I also had the good fortune to lead my program as the sports captain which I think till today inspires me to establish Homerton Grammar School as the best school for students who aspire to do well in sports.

The classrooms were always interesting as our teachers pushed us to learn concepts through case studies and today, I ask the same from my teachers, to push students to think critically about various situations through case studies & classroom debates and to develop confidence in students by asking them to give presentations at school level.

How do you maintain the perfect balance between your personal and professional life?
As the school grows it requires continuous upgradation and as a result, it does take up a lot of time from my schedule. I have realized when you’re running your organization you never get an off so
I must take my time off by traveling as much as I can with family. The credit entirely goes to my wife who makes sure I keep a balance and I love spending time with my two beautiful twin daughters so I try to be with them every day. As I am an avid sportsman, I am out playing any sport regularly, and going out with my friends is some thing I enjoy a lot.

How do you remain up to date with the ongoing industry trends to steer your organization towards the future?
Reading up on the education industry trend, attending seminars, brainstorming with the school management team, and talking to fellow education institute leaders are some of the ways I keep myself abreast with the ever-evolving education sector.

Going forward, what are the goals that you wish to invest in and how do you plan to take them further?
I am excited about Metaverse in Education and I believe that’s the next big change that is going to come in the education sector. I look forward to engaging and tying up with agencies that can help me explore this and I feel this will be beneficial for the students as it’ll make them interested to learn subjects like history, geography and science.
