Brief us about the various in-house facilities that are present in your institute.
The RIT campus is spread out over 23 acres and offers a stunning and serene setting that is perfect and conducive for technical education. Every department has well equipped modern laboratories to support academic and research activities. The department has qualified and dedicated faculty members lab technicians, and modern facilities in the form of smart classrooms, spacious laboratories, and cutting-edge research machinery & equipment. To develop leadership skills, the students are encouraged to organize and participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. With a clear vision in mind, the department aims to produce socially responsible and employable engineers. Students are enrolling in MITx courses to strengthen their knowledge.

For advanced learning, there is a large and well-stocked library with textbooks, Journal papers, and NPTEL videos, as well as MIT Open Course ware in the Digital Library. Adequate infrastructure is provided for indoor and outdoor games and extra curricular activities.

With more concern for developing researchers, RIT has hosted several research related seminar/webinars on topics like “How to formulate a research problem?” ,“Impactful Research”, “Reference Writing”, “Reference Management using Zotero”, and “Effective use of Typeset Research Studio Tools in Journal/ Conference paper writing”.
We encourage the faculty members and students who are involved in carrying out funded projects as well as consultancy activities by giving honorarium and research incentives. Healthy competition in all departments ensures that many journals and patents are published during each academic year.
Our Doctorate faculty members are acting as Joint Supervisors and Doctoral Committee Members in the Anna University Chennai. We encourage our faculty and students for their publications and projects which will enrich them strongly in research and development. As a result, a total of 173 paper

Also, four copyrights were registered by our faculty members. We conducted three national and one international conference on our campus on recent topics. How do you ensure that the RIT’s students stand ahead of their peers in the competitive world?
We encourage the students to take part in national-level competitions like Electric Solar Vehicle Championship, Mega ATV Championship, etc., under the head of Corporate Social Responsibility to fabricate the vehicles from The Ramco Cements and Ramco Industry Ltd. RaithEngg & Manufact. Co. Kuwait and Pandian Gramma Bank, received Rs. 21.62 Lakhs fund support. Our laboratories are opened beyond the working hours of the institution. This shows that our institution is interested in promoting the research culture among the students as well as faculty members.
Are you coming up with any innovation or upgradation to enhance your existing research programs?
Funding being the prime factors influencing research, the Institute contributes many societally beneficial projects. In adjunct, the researchers also get grants from funding agencies. Institute facilitates with all sophisticated equipment and infrastructure facilities. Since high-end research requires intense literature review, access to databases like Science Direct, Scopus, PubMed, etc., is available. Sufficient manpower is also facilitated along with the above-said facilities. Training needs of the manpower are identified and imparted.
Quality of research receives priority over the quantity of research. Collaborative multidisciplinary research gets continuous support. Faculties are advised to be knowledge creators rather than knowledge disseminators. The knowledge up-gradation of faculty is highly correlated with the knowledge requirements of students and will be reflected in their learning outcomes.
