SavATree, a company offering environmentally sensible tree, shrub and lawn care announces the appointment of Carmine Schiavone as CEO position, replacing Daniel van Starrenburg, the company's long term CEO, who will now carry on with SavATree as its Executive Chairman, looking after the company's strategic direction and acquisitions program.

Daniel states, "We are very excited to have someone of Carmine's caliber join SavATree. Under Carmine's leadership, SavATree will continue to deliver exceptional service for our customers, while I will focus on growing the SavATree family through strategic acquisitions."

Daniel having started his career as a certified arborist in Bedford Hills, bought SavATree in 1985, a well-respected local business during the time. Growing naturally, SavATree accomplished 27 acquisitions under Daniel’s supervision, and has become the third largest company in the U.S. tree care industry, with 39 branches operating in 18 states. SavATree plans to continue expanding
along with acquisitions, supported by CI Capital Partners, an investor in the firm.

Carmine has held senior leadership positions consecutively for four years at Johnson Controls, as General Manager & Vice President of Fire Protection Solutions & Services. Before joining Johnson Controls, he spent 16 years at Tyco, where he held on increasing responsibility as Vice President, General Manager, and Acting Chief Operating Officer across various business units. He also holds the Six Sigma Green Belt certification and Lean certification, which make an ideal leader for SavATree, a Lean company.
