ZTE Communication, an international provider of telecommunication, Enterprise and consumer technology solution, launches its first cyber security lab in Nanjing, China. It is aimed to provide the customers with end-to-end security products and services.

The cyber security lab also aims to increase ZTE’s transparency to gain the trust of all third parties, including customers and global regulators, by providing them with the security assessment and audit services such as source code reviews on ZTE products which include 4G & 5G.It will also provide Security design audit, procedural document review, black box testing, and penetration testing services, and facilitate the research and development collaboration with other industry stake holders.
Moving forward, ZTE will collaborate with world-class security organizations to jointly conduct security assessment, certification, training, and consulting. Following the establishment of cyber security at Nanjing, ZTE also plans to launch labs in Italy and Belgium respectively to build a network across the globe.

Zhong Hong, Chief Security Officer at ZTE says, “The security lab is an open and cooperative platform for the industry.”

He further states, “ZTE plans to gradually achieve its cybersecurity goals through three steps: first, meeting the requirements of cybersecurity laws, regulations and industry standards as well as certification schemes; second, conducting an open dialogue to enhance transparency and establishing cooperation with customers as well as regulatory agencies; and third, sustaining the open cooperation mechanism to contribute to cybersecurity standardization.”
