The Indian media and entertainment sector has seen an increased demand of talent and resources as a result of rising affluence and changing lifestyles. This demand has been boosted by increased rural penetration and a rapidly growing young population, as well as an increased use of 3G, 4G, and portable devices. The Government of India (GoI) has aided the industry's expansion by implementing efforts such as digitizing cable distribution and making institutional finance more accessible to boost profitability.

Saurabh Chaudhary entered the field of the media and entertainment industry at the age of 18 and today he has in-depth knowledge of the industry along with an experience of 9 long years. Along with this, he is also skilled in the areas of product development and business management. Saurabh founded Outcry Entertainment in 2012 to fill a gap in the entertainment and media business. Since then, Outcry has evolved from a one-man startup focused primarily on outdoor events to a full-fledged entertainment and media solutions organization, serving as a one-stop-shop for all things entertainment and media.

In an exclusive coverage by CEO Insights magazine, Saurabh Chaudhary(Director) of Outcry Entertainment unveils the success story of their recently launched product Fyopro along with his insightful and successful entrepreneurial journey.

Fyopro was developed after 9+ years of industry expertise tell us about the road of your new product launch and what prompted you to launch Fyopro?
The idea of Fyopro came to me after I identified certain gaps and challenges in the media and entertainment industry. While I was working in the field, I saw it all - from being a mediator and earning unreasonable margins to being exploited by unqualified mediators and suffering losses. As my expertise and experience in the industry grew, the concept of Fyopro gradually took shape. It's a fast-growing business with fresh participants trying to learn the ropes and make a living but is still largely
unstructured. With Fyopro, the idea is to disrupt the media and entertainment sector by organizing, digitizing, and simplifying the entire process.

From the conceptualization of Fyopro to its creation, it took us three years to make the product a reality. It took us over nine months to structure our entire idea and create a long-term business plan that would work for the industry, as well as nearly two years to develop a mature and futuristic product in terms of both design and technology. For our design and product development, we've enlisted the help of the greatest individuals in India. We are confident that with the help of technology, we will be able to make a difference and shape this industry in a short period.

Fyopro allows users to find, chat with, and hire verified resources without the use of a mediator? Could you please elaborate on these new features?
Fyopro is India's first one-stop market place for a wide range of media and entertainment industry services, with over 25 categories in each area such as Artist, Event, Marketing Services & Venues. It's a B2B2C model that allows consumers and businesses to transparently search, compare, evaluate, and hire the best fit for their needs using a custom algorithm. It directly lets users interact with service providers or β€˜Pro’ as we like to call them, and hire them based on mutual agreement. The payment method can be determined by both parties according to their preferences. Fyopro does not act as a middleman and does not charge any commissions, subscriptions, and service fees. So, basically it's absolutely free I swear I'm not making this up. It's true!

What measures have you laid forth as the Director of Outcry Entertainment to improve the organization's functions post pandemic? What impact did the initiatives you employed have on your workplace culture and client relationships?
As a director of Outcry
Entertainment and as a company leader stuck in the middle of this global crisis, I chose to learn from the prevalent pandemic and experiment with new ways of working in order to make the most of the situation. And it was an extremely rewarding learning experience with respect to understanding the evolving customer behavior, team management, and much more. We devised a strategy we called WFF Work for Future in which we practiced patience while developing ideas and models that would help us average out our earnings which was ultimately achieved. Our media wing saw a 5x increase in digital marketing revenue, while our event wing completed some wedding projects (in fact we were the first one to execute an official 50 pax luxury wedding in Mumbai and got featured in Bombay times, mensxp and multiple other platforms).

Due to our aggressive plan of action and initiatives implemented during the first phase of the pandemic, we were able to develop both in terms of infrastructure and revenue, as well as expand our team, even during a time like this. Our work place culture has evolved as a result of each of us taking responsibility and producing our best work to avoid falling back during difficult times. My goal now is to focus on establishing an intelligent enterprise with agility and resiliency.

In your journey so far, which are the milestones that bestowed you with utmost satisfaction both as an individual and a Director?
I began my entrepreneurial career by producing and managing large-scale public concerts and launching artists such as Honey Singh and Badshah, as well as getting international talents such as LMFAO, T-Pain, Edward Maya, and others to perform in India. This provided me with a 360-degree experience in everything from funding to artist management, aggressive marketing, media planning,sales, liaising, venue and crowd management. When I think back on how I, together with a few family members and friends, pulled off such great public events, it still gives me goose bumps.
