In this dynamic market, Sourav Kar emerged as a visionary leader. With a solid foundation built on nearly a decade of rich experience in operations and sales within esteemed organizations, he launched his own BPO venture in Howrah in 2022.

Under his astute leadership and relentless dedication, the company has witnessed exponential growth. Kar's forward-thinking approach and exemplary leadership skills have not only steered the firm towards remarkable achievements but have also set the stage for an ambitious expansion across the nation over the next five years.

In an exclusive interview with CEO Insights, Sourav sheds light on his professional background and experiences, his leadership strategies, and much more.

Give a brief account of your professional background and experiences. What is the motivation that fuels your daily routines?

With a career spanning over nine years, I have cultivated a wealth of expertise across diverse sectors, including operations and sales. My professional journey has been marked by roles in several esteemed organizations such as Vodafone, Amazon, and Meesho.

At Vodafone, my focus was primarily on sales a domain where I honed my negotiation and client engagement skills. Transitioning to Amazon, I embraced the challenges of operations, a role I further developed and refined throughout my tenure at Meesho. My dedication and drive culminated in achieving the position of Senior Manager for Pan India Operations at Meesho.

In 2022, harnessing my extensive experience and insights from the corporate world, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by founding Raddinas. This venture represents not just a business initiative, but the embodiment of my life long commitment to personal and professional excellence.

I have always aspired to be the best version of myself, competing not against others, but against my own
benchmarks. This philosophy of continuous self-improvement and resilience propels me forward, fuelling my passion for achieving new heights in my entrepreneurial endeavours.

Tell us about the unique experiences the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli offers and what you learned from the campus beyond academics.

Beyond the exceptional academic journey at IIM Tiruchirappalli, the most profound insight I gained was the significance of contribution. It became clear that irrespective of our roles, each of us plays a pivotal part in the collective journey. The campus environment fostered a deep understanding of collaboration through diverse projects and team activities.

One of the unique aspects of my time at IIM Tiruchirappalli was the rich tapestry of backgrounds everyone brought to the table, enabling us to collaborate effectively and dismantle communication barriers progres-sively.

This experience was not just about learning but also about contributing, ensuring our individual and collective presence was impactful. In essence, my tenure at IIM Tiruchirappalli was a testament to the enduring value of collaboration and contribution, principles that remain integral to my personal and professional ethos.

Define Raddinas as an organization and its current position in the market.

Leveraging our collective wealth of expertise in outsourcing, we founded Raddinas with a clear vision to innovate within this domain. Prior to our launch, we conducted thorough market research to ensure our services were not just competitive but also cuttingedge. Raddinas, predomi-nantly serving B2B clients, is strategically positioned in a bustling outsourcing market.

As we navigate through 2024, Raddinas is pioneering unique strategies and expanding our service offerings to uncharted terri-tories. While our Unique Selling Proposition remains confidential for now, we are on the brink of unveiling initiatives that promise to redefine industry standards and catalyse a transformative wave in our sector.

Although Raddinas is relatively young, being in its inaugural year, our journey is marked by deliberate and dynamic progression. Currently, in a phase of rebranding, we have recently welcomed a new Chief Marketing Officer to steer our brand towards a distinctive market position.

Our collaborations with prestigious clients like Amazon and Meesho are testaments to our credibility and
potential. With an array of innovative plans and strategies in our arsenal, we are poised not just for growth, but for establishing new benchmarks in the out sourcing industry.

Tell us about your leadership approach. What is the future destination you are heading toward?

Many individuals hesitate to join startups due to concerns about job security, career progression, timely salary payments, industry exposure, among other factors. Recognizing these apprehensions, especially within a one-year-old startup like ours, can indeed pose challenges in harnessing the full potential of our team.

As a leader, I am committed to bolstering their confidence, fostering a conducive environment for their success, and instilling a sense of ownership and dedication towards the company. I actively promote a 'Company First' mindset, assuring them that their growth, both professionally and financially, is intrinsically linked to the company's success.

My leadership approach is rooted in leading by example, ensuring team members are integrally involved in client interactions and decision-making processes. This not only enhances their confidence but also enriches their industry exposure and nurtures a sense of ownership.

Looking ahead, our five-year roadmap prioritizes maximizing visibility across India and earning the trust of our clients. Our ambition extends beyond domestic success; we aim to establish a formidable presence in the international market.

We are committed to broadening our service portfolio, exploring new industries, and contributing positively to society by generating employment and fostering client relationships.

In line with our community-focused ethos, we plan to establish branches in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, addressing the challenge of job accessibility. Under-standing the importance of family, we aim to offer opportunities for talented individuals to pursue rewarding careers without having to relocate, aligning with my personal belief in the significance of family support and work-life balance.
