Vamshi Krishna

CTO

One of the major roles of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of a young firm is to formulate tech-driven strategies that align with the company's larger objectives and facilitate its expansion plans. Furthermore, a CTO has to make sure that, while keeping an eye on market trends and the competition, the product team is always concentrating on what matters most to the customers: finding solutions to their issues and providing for their demands. Last but not least, it's crucial to foster an environment where the team feels free to try new things to improve the quality of their work and the company as a whole. Vamshi Krishna, CTO of The Tribe Concepts, is a great representation of such a leader.

An accomplished engineer, Vamshi earned a Dual Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, specializing in computer science as well as engineering. A seasoned software engineer, Vamshi also has an established background working in the information technology industry. Below is an excerpt of Vamshi Krishna’s exclusive interaction with CEO Insights magazine. Let’s read.

What are the factors that inspired you to launch The Tribe Concepts? How has been your journey so far with The Tribe Concepts?
My wife pioneered The Tribe Concepts, our successful startup funded entirely via personal savings. We started with nothing except an unwavering commitment to figuring out what to create, how to contribute to society, and how to address some of the challenges we face daily. Although there were
moments when it seemed impossible, we always gave it our best. Well, it paid off, and I was assisting them through the process of creating a website and aiding in the development of other technological solutions. My entry into the tribal notions was not as a developer but rather as a chief technology officer style advisor on technological solutions. As a result, I made choices on a wide range of elements, including those entering and leaving the ecosystem and the state of digitization as a whole.

There are always new technologies appearing, and others that are continually being improved upon, so we need to stay up with our research at all times

How do you implement your learning and expertise acquired from the industry across your current responsibilities as a CTO?
Currently, I serve as both the CTO and Administrator of the business. There are always new technologies appearing, and others that are continually being improved upon, so we need to stay up with our research at all times. We've introduced our chatbots, which are assisting with a lot of customer-related inquiries, and other solutions that are usually helping out our business. In that case, we're making the most of Google's workplace. With a little bit of support from your friends and co-workers, you can make the office environment much more pleasant for everyone. In these situations, Google is essential.

Further, Google workspace was one of the best things we picked up to assist us to develop things, and after we settled on a handful of technologies, aiding in our back-end operations.

Reflect on some of the major challenges you have experienced in your journey so far. How did you overcome them and what did you learn from them?
Since I am now the only Chief Technology Officer of The Tribe Concepts, I am responsible for the entire company's IT functions. There are many challenges involved in managing a brand, requiring us to remain committed to putting in our best effort every day. And if there's one thing I've learned along the way, it's that the key to my success was simply a willingness to put in the extra effort. Also, my current goal is to work more efficiently. As such, I would say that the afore mentioned factors are what holding me together and propelling me forward. However, I believe that everyone has to have this kind of enthusiasm for solving everyday issues.

How has been the evolution of the role of a CTO over the past few years? What will be your advice for budding professionals in this domain?
For TTC, success lies more on making forward on the strategic side than the technological one, where I'd say there are a few roadblocks to overcome. Technology development is perpetual because of the rapid pace at which it is advancing. For this reason, we must constantly evolve with the times. I was intending to focus more on the business side of things and I am responsible for responding to any customer service related inquiries posted across all social media platforms. Therefore, I perform two roles at once. In addition, almost all of the feedback we have received from clients has been quite good, particularly concerning our methods for addressing their concerns. Furthermore, it is my opinion that if you want to feel successful in business, you need to focus on solving the difficulties that arise. This is how TTC operates as a company.
