What were the initial challenges at Biotrends that taught you some crucial lessons of company operations? Also, tell us about your achievements at Biotrends and the business transformation you led via those achievements?
Biotrends was established in December 2019 in the city of New Delhi, India. Soon as we were preparing for our registration and other launch activities, India went into a lockdown phase and that was extremely depressing for us. However, the phase taught us more than what we could think of concerning resource optimization and team coordination through digital media. However, the crucial lesson learned is that India still has to go a long way in supporting a Startup. Unless you have your funds or international funds, support from the Government agencies and banks is next to impossible. Banks and Financial institutions have norms that are certainly not Startup friendly.

The next thing we learned is Team. The best asset of a company is its team and we at Biotrends are blessed with a great team, who
ensured what we are today, despite the COVID-19 challenges.

How does Biotrends stand unique in the market when compared to peers? Elucidate your USP and the various services you provide to uplift agricultural growth.

Biotrends is now investing heavily in the development of Bio Ag and Bio Pesticides and shall soon make available products suited for Seed treatment, Pre- and Post-Harvest Technology, as Bio-Fungicide and Bio-Insecticide form its robust stable and pipeline. Biotrends has research-based facilities in Mexico, presently.

As a plant-origin-based green biotechnology company, with technology based on next-generation Microbials 2.0, is targeting the global agricultural industry, our efforts will face opportunities and challenges in a variety of communities and social contexts. In many regions where we operate, the level of economic development and legal systems often differ from what we are used to in the industrialized world. Biotrends will work with broader groups to ensure sustainable solutions in our efforts worldwide. This will include governmental and nongovernmental institutions, national and transnational organizations, commercial and non-profit groups. In the countries where Biotrends operates, we will adhere to local applicable rules and regulations, and implement our governance initiatives, beliefs, and principles to further the company's vision and goals.

Wise Words
Let us keep in mind one thing. We do not inherit this earth from our predecessors but borrow it from our children. Establishing Biotrends, which is a zero-carbon green technology company, contributing to sustainable agriculture and bringing in safe but disruptive technologies to India gives me the utmost satisfaction. It gives me a contentment that we can leave behind earth which is liveable. My contribution in a small way.
