Rajendra Kumar Kandikonda is a strong business development professional with an MBA focused in Marketing from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. He completed his Engineering in Electrical and Electronics from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and before founding Interface Interiors,he worked with companies like SAP Labs India Private Limited, Qualcomm India Private Limited, SARKS Electricals ADP Private Limited, Bakelite Hylam Private Limited, etc. During his 30+ years of professional journey, he has worked with IT MNCs for Infrastructure Creation, Facilities, Administration, Security, EHS, etc, in PAN India roles. This had given him enormous exposure to different organizations and in multiple locations.

Tell us about your professional journey and what inspired you to establish Interface Interiors. What is the motivation that fuels your business routines?
The major part of my professional journey was in IT MNCs in PAN India roles, in the areas of Facilities and Infrastructure Project Management. I started Interface Interiors 4 years ago and except during Covid time, we have grown from one client in 2018 to fourteen clients in 2022.

Doing detailed market research, client focus, and sustaining in the business at least for five years even in diverse situations will be very important for new entrepreneurs.


My passion for interiors as an individual and having related professional experience in Interiors has become an added advantage to conceive the Idea of starting an Interiors business. Working to be a one stop shop for the customers in terms of meeting all their infrastructure requirements from supplies to services, from building to e-waste management keeps me motivated in my business.

Why was Telangana chosen to be the breeding ground of your company?
Hyderabad is my birthplace, and though I worked in different cities in India, I was always keen to come back to Hyderabad. Now Hyderabad is growing very fast and I see huge opportunities in Hyderabad in the next 10 Years. Being my favorite city and the growth potential I have chosen Hyderabad (Telangana) to start Interface Interiors but we also have a plan to expand to other cities in the next three years.

How would you define Interface Interiors as an organization and its position in the market? What is the unique proposition that your organization offers to clients?
Interface Interiors consists of a team of professionals and Engineers having 30+ years of hands-on experience in Interior Projects Project Management and Facilities Management in IT MNCs and Manufacturing Organizations. Our company is determined to deliver creative turnkey fitout projects and Retrofit/ Renovation projects to cater to a diverse range of customers which consists of IT MNCs, Corporates, Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare and more.
Our team is passionately committed to delivering sustainable & inventive refurbishment projects.

In the past four years of operations, we have done projects in Fourteen esteemed organizations and we plan our project execution and budget management to suit the needs of our clients, which is the key benefit Interface Interiors offers to the clients.

What are the major projects that you have undertaken till now? How did you overcome the challenges associated with them and what did you learn from them?
We have completed many new fitouts, renovation and retrofit projects for our clients and we do get repetitive contracts from our esteemed clients. We sometimes face challenges with material delivery delays and, workforce irregularities, but proper planning and vision had helped us to overcome these challenges.

How do you maintain the perfect balance between your personal and professional life? what would be your advice to entrepreneurs starting anew in this domain?
I always give specific time windows for both professional and personal life. Depending on the situation and requirement these windows have to be tweaked to best suit the situation. I generally do not allow both windows to clash any time and that’s the key to balancing personal and professional life. Doing detailed market research, client focus and sustaining in the business at least for five years even in diverse situations will be very important for new entrepreneurs.
