Information Technology architects are designers who work in digital realm. Today, IT is inevitable and is the corner stone of any business and organization. So, each organization will have its own IT or software architecture specially designed for meeting the needs of the organization. An IT architect is a professional who comes up with high level solutions for business applications, systems, portfolios, infrastructures or an entire enterprise. They design and manage and organization's communication, security, networking, storage and other things. These professionals design the complete infrastructure from the ground-up, including servers, data storage, a functioning network, a private cloud, security protocols, and more and keep running things smoothly, keeping management in the loop regarding their IT sources.
An IT chief architect is a C-level executive and is also called Enterprise architect (EA). They centralize the IT functions in an organization, allowing the departments across the company to work seamlessly. EA plays a major role in helping an organization meet its goals through technical support. The role requires both process and technological knowledge on security, storage, data management and network service delivery. They are also responsible for reviewing existing software and hardware for efficiency, as well as staying abreast of new programs, which may be beneficial for installation. Architects use computer design software to model and test network plans prior to implementation.
The main responsibilities of an IT architect includes resolving technical issues, ensuring that all parts of the technical design are correctly incorporated, development of technical tools & environment, providing technical support, quality control throughout all stages of the project, and synchronizing retailer services linked to the selection and implementation of necessary technology.
