I have overall about 17 years of experience, all through in the Energy sector and across the value chain of the energy business. I started my career in Sales and Marketing with a mid-cap company providing material handling systems for thermal power plants. Then I moved to the other side of the table on the procurement and contracts side with reliance power and handled procurement for over $250 million of key equipment for approximately 5 GW of thermal assets.

Top 10 Chief Commercial Officers - 2022
Given the advancement of science and technology, and several market-oriented reforms, when corporate and industries are faced with significant business challenges today, the C-suite leaders play a dynamic role in driving the companies potentially. Also, it is the Chief Commercial Officer(CCO) who helps across the organizational business responsibly managing the sales, marketing and customer service efforts of the organization. The CCO overseeing all aspects of the company's commercial activities, including product development, pricing strategies, advertising campaigns, and more, ensures the company's sales and marketing efforts align for positive success.
A CCO sometimes is also referred to as a CBO (Chief Business Officer). Well, the CCO's role can also vary respective of the industry, depending on the organization's size and build-up. Performing the specific job duties as a CCO, the executive reports directly to the CEO and works closely in accord with other C-level leaders, developing commercial and business development strategies that are optimized for both short-term results and long-term strategy.
Ensuring the company meets its financial goals by maximizing revenue while minimizing costs, a CCO exercises its responsibilities, analyzing the company data, monitoring finances, managing employees, overseeing procedures, assisting with employment decision, leading launches, and assessing customer satisfaction. However, COVID-19 posed the business with overwhelming challenges through time, and it is to be noted that many efficient CCOs proved their dexterity in driving businesses towards growth in the tough times and further.
