Accumulating all these aspects, Rabindra Sah is an agile leader with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Patna. With a winning spirit and mindset, he became a topper of his academic batch and began his career with Tata Motors. At present, he is the backbone of Tata Technologies' Engineering Research & Design. In an exclusive interview with CEO Insights, Rabindra shares some valuable nuggets. I joined Tata Motors Jamshedpur as Graduate Engineer Trainee through campus selection in the year 1992. Top 10 Chief Engineering Managers - 2022
A chief engineer is the highest ranking engineer within a company's engineering department. They are responsible for leading a team of engineers to complete projects. They work closely with other engineers and technicians to safely and effectively complete projects on schedule.
An Engineering Manager will work with professionals across the organization like Engineers who specialize in different areas of expertise. Engineering Managers are responsible for planning and directing an organisation's technical operations. They oversee teams of engineers and work closely with architects and other professionals to oversee the successful delivery of civil engineering and construction projects. An Engineering Manager is responsible for developing the overall concepts of new products and/or solving problems that may prevent their completion. They direct, plan accordingly, and spend time supervising employees in different departments throughout the project.
Engineering Manager responsibilities include researching and developing designs and products, determine the need for training and talent development, hiring contractors and build teams, ensuring products have the support of upper management, providing clear and concise instructions to engineering teams, leading research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes, and also check their team's work for technical accuracy and coordinate work with other managers and staff.
