Top 10 Chief Accounting Officers - 2021
A chief accounting officer or CAO is an extremely familiar title in the financial sector. The CAO oversees all accounting activities, such as financial reporting and expense management processes. CAOs' emphasis comprises regulatory enforcement and procedures and the creation of financial plans in cooperation with the CFO. While the Chief Financial Officer is incharge of the fiscal side of the whole company, with domains of costs, budgets, responsibilities or even economic policies and projections, the CAO concentrates more on corporate reports - ensuring that all lead accounts, expenses and policy on cost controls are in effect. The CAO concentrates more on the day-to-day expenses of the business. Companies are recruiting more CAOs to free up the resources of the CFO to focus on more strategic work outside the business.
