  • Despite the immense benefits that co-working spaces bring to the fore, the industry in India is still at its nascent stage, courtesy the lack of awareness of the benefits both for consumers and potential JV partners. Especially in cities like Kolkata, the absence of a vibrant and booming startup ecosystem is a further challenge. However, the sector is witnessing a gradual acceptance due to its concept of stay and grow, which enables not only the startups, but also the MNCs who can divert their focus, time and cost from the non-core activities of their business to the productive zone. Enabling the businesses in the city of Kolkata to reap the benefit of world-class co-working space is Worknests. Co-founded by Rajesh Goyal (MD & CEO), Worknests in all true sense transpires to your personal nest through its customized services. Rajesh uses his decades of experience working with global clients across the world to create this experience that not just enables, but empowers his clients to do more. In an exclusive interview with CEO Insights, he delves deep into the organization's uniqueness, its offerings and the way forward.

  • Top 10 Co-Working Services Providers - 2020

The growth of the co-working industry over the past decade has never failed to amaze us. With its fine-tuning epoch on the go, the market now goes beyond freelancers and startups to include a burgeoning number of MNCs and large corporate organizations. Even more interesting is the data divulged by various research firms in recent times. There were nearly 19,000 co-working spaces with three million co-workers worldwide in 2019, and the $26 billion worth market is set to grow exponentially in the current financial year. The number of co-working spaces is expected to grow at an annual rate of 13 percent across the globe. Home to more than 11,000 co-working spaces, the Asia-Pacific tops the list, while India has embraced the co-working culture like nothing else. The subcontinent’s flexible working space industry saw a 277 percent jump in leasing to nearly three million sq ft in the first quarter of 2019 (according to a CBRE report), wherein the metros like Bangalore and Delhi-NCR region are the front-runners. We believe that it’s a great milieu to come-up with the anecdotes of organizations that constitute this growth. In this issue of CEO Insights, we have perfected an index of ‘Top 10 Co-Working Services Providers – 2020’.
