Turning Vision into Value: How I Built Purposeful Digital Ecosystems in the UK

Pratyush Kumar, Director, Prabisha Consulting, EcoKartUK, 0
When I arrived in the UK, I didn’t have a team, a client base, or even an office. But what I did have was a clear intention—to build something meaningful. Not just another tech company, but a digital ecosystem that could touch people’s lives, empower small businesses, and contribute positively to the UK economy.
That vision materialized as Prabisha Consulting, a name now recognized by many startups and SMEs for bringing strategy, design, and technology together under one roof. We started by offering web development and digital marketing services, but what truly set us apart was our consultative approach. We never believed in one-size-fits-all. Instead, we worked hand-in-hand with clients, helping them clarify their brand voice, streamline their processes, and harness technology in a way that felt natural and empowering.

Over time, our clients’ needs evolved, and so did we. A recurring theme emerged—people weren’t just looking for branding or websites. They were looking for people's solutions. That’s how we expanded into HR and career services, developing platforms that offer everything from automated CV builders and interview coaching to LinkedIn optimization and job assistance.
These services have been used by job seekers from diverse sectors, many of whom had the talent but lacked the tools to present themselves confidently to UK employers.
As we built tools for job seekers, we also began working with small and mid-sized employers. They were looking for practical, affordable ways to train, onboard, and retain staff. This led to the development of custom Learning Management Systems (LMS), employee well being platforms, and digital induction hubs. Today, some of our LMS portals are used by early-years education providers and care homes across the UK. What started as a consulting firm now bridges the gap between digital and human capital.
We also recognized that thousands of small businesses across the UK still struggled to gain online visibility. So we launched UK Business Network (UKBN), a national digital directory that empowers local businesses to get found, recommended, and reviewed. Whether it’s a dog groomer in Luton or a boutique florist in Harrow, UKBN helps them connect with nearby customers and showcase their services with pride. We later added HarrowBusiness.com, a hyperlocal platform focused solely on connecting traders within the borough, reinforcing the community spirit that is so integral to British business culture.
Each of these ventures was born out of real conversations with real people. We didn’t build platforms for the sake of tech—we built them because we saw needs that weren’t being met.
One of our most exciting projects currently in development is EcoKartUK, a sustainable ecommerce platform that encourages users to buy and sell pre-loved and vintage items. The goal is not just to reduce landfill waste but to reframe how we view consumption. EcoKartUK is designed to be a conscious alternative to large-scale marketplaces, with a focus on simplicity, trust, and sustainability. It’s where ethical fashion meets tech convenience, and it reflects the values I want to see more of in the world.
