Co-Founder
For Anubhav Dhingra, the co-founder of Sutantra Systems, leadership is not about position but about accountability—be it in the capacity of a strategist, a project manager, or even as an engineer to see a mission through.
This sense of dedication and flexibility closely aligns with the growth story of Sutantra Systems, a technology consulting partner partner that assists businesses in steering through complexity, reinforcing their IT infrastructures, and providing purposeful digital transformation.
Anubhav, a BITS Pilani alumnus, has pursued a career in which his technical skills and managerial abilities have complemented each other perfectly. Over the years, he has played various roles that required certain strategic supervision as well as on-the-ground problem-solving skills, whether managing major projects or even managing teams through tough phases.
Such experiences have not only reinforced his conviction in the power of responsibility-driven leadership but have also provided ideas about how to use technology as a change agent to drive organizational success.
Today, he is leading Sutantra Systems into the transformative era of technology consulting by providing solutions that empower businesses with efficiency, resilience and growth in a rapidly, dynamically changing digital world. We are delighted to engage in an exclusive conversation with Anubhav, who walks us through his journey with Sutantra Systems, leadership approach, and more.
What has been the most unique learning experience during your time in BITS Pilani?
My time at BITS Pilani was a transfor -mative phase of my
career. Before deciding to quit my job and start my own venture, I enrolled in this course, which exceeded my expectations. It enhanced my confidence in self driven learning and exposed me to diverse subjects beyond my core expertise.
The academic structure was highly flexible, offering subjects from multiple technology domains beyond my core expertise. Out of the 16-17 subjects studied, only about five aligned with my core domain, while the rest were outside my specialization, which I found extremely valuable.
Equally valuable was learning alongside peers from varied industries and regions across India. This significantly helped broaden my perspectives and enriched my overall experience.
How has the Institute helped you to further your passion in entrepreneurship and sharpen your business acumen?
Although my M. Tech in Computing Systems was highly technology-focused the inter -disciplinary curriculum and peer-driven learning environment provided a broader perspective.
Interacting with peers from diverse professional backgrounds, including business managers, CEOs and CIOs, was an eye-opening experience. It allowed me to understand end-to-end business processes, from starting a venture and delivering projects to hiring and negotiating with clients, providing invaluable insights into complete business ownership.
What kind of opportunity does BITS Pilani give you to gain global exposure and develop a network?
During my course, I had the opportunity to interact with batch-mates from diverse backgrounds and geographies, which provided valuable learning beyond the classroom.
Although we were part of the COVID batch and met in person only after graduation, we engaged in highly interactive online sessions, collaborative projects, quizzes, and discussions. This experience allowed us to exchange diverse perspectives, particularly in technology, and fostered strong synergy within the team, making the learning experience truly enriching.

How did BITS instill a spirit of responsibility and a habit of contributing to society?
I strongly believe in giving back to society, as well as to the teams and individuals who support our growth. Throughout my career, from junior engineer to architect, I have made it a priority to mentor and guide my colleagues, sharing the knowledge and insights I have gained from my own mentors. Giving back is not merely about financial support or providing jobs; it is about enabling others to succeed, ensuring that as I progress in my career, my team grows and succeeds alongside me.
What next chapter do you look forward to in your professional journey?
The next chapter of my professional journey is centered on aligning success with purpose. I am focused on ensuring that my team and I engage in continuous learning, foster innovation, and collaborate effectively.
We are exploring AI-driven projects aimed at creating meaningful societal impact. Establishing and growing the organization is not solely about commercial success, but also about contributing positively to society through our work.
What would be your advice to the budding tech leaders?
No matter your achievements or future positions, be it engineer, co-founder, CIO, or CTO, humility is essential. Continuous learning is equally important; I encourage dedicating time regularly to learning, as I have implemented in my organization with a minimum of six hours per month. So my advice is to stay humble, be a dedicated professional, and commit to lifelong learning.
