It had largely been presumed that the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC)industry is inefficient and unproductive comparative of others, and that there needed to be a significant shift in the project delivery process & its life cycle. Interestingly, design technology (BIM, CAD, CAE, PLM software and more)emerged as the catalyst to expediate the change.
Today, although there has been a conspicuous growth in the industry wide adoption of generative design technology, it is still not a standard practice in the educational facility sector. Medini identifies this and is dedicatedly pressed to help Corporate & Academia bridge this gap providing the expertise training & support on design technology to industry people as well as individuals.
Since its establishment in 2008,the virtuoso Pradeep Kallur(CEO & MD) has been leading this recognized entity, addressing perfectly on the requirements of its client companies & students leveraging design services and training programs with guided assistance from experienced professionals instructors, combining subject & industry knowledge(on design technology). What inspired you to entrench Medini as a design technology & services company to serve the AEC sector in India?
I am a B.E. graduate and also hold MBA degree in Business Management. My professional journey is the completely driven by the conscientious approach I took towards bridging the knowledge gap on design technology betwixt the AEC industry & academia and Medini is the true incarnation of the same. My wife has been the true inspiration & motivator in this, all along being a part of the business decision making & management.
Earlier, people amidst the AEC industry and even the students believed that technology is limited and can only be of good use to the IT industry. They were unaware of
the fact that technology is parallelly imperative to every industry, be it
mechanical,electrical, architecture, manufacturing, construction, or more. I felt there had to be a medium. I took the initiative to draw their attention towards its implication in the AEC industry by educating them on design technology and making them understand its great usage in bettering the process in real-time basis. It hasn't been easy and the challenges followed. But I never looked back and kept going. The first step followed communicating with the academics and enlightening them about the various possibilities & avenues it can open for students, if rightly assimilation in the academia (taught the ways to cope up with the upcoming trends & technologies). Meanwhile, I also partnered with world's leading providers of significant design technologies like Autodesk, Bentley, Trimble, PTC, & others. It altogether subsequently helped in making the college students informed about the technology and thereby established change. By time, now we are also a part of some of the well-known MNC companies wherein we train their employees on the updates of technology and few companies approach us for the solutions which can be adopted for the execution of their projects.

Medini is a provider of design technology & services to engineering, construction and architecture professionals. With years of experience, today it has developed the expertise in providing design services and training support to companies & academia. We have partnered with the best industries recognized worldwide, to leverage end-to-end global technology, services & tools (CAD, CAM, CAE, PLM software, hardware, 3D printers) to the door step of the clients. Products of Autodesk, Bentley, Trimble, PTC & others are the ones we are specialized in, inclusive of BIM (Building Information Modeling)the worldwide construction industry highlight.
When it comes to our USP, the most important factor is our technology adopting speed. We prefer adopting technologies beforehand and assimilating it in our training courses at the earliest. Also, our deliverables of the courses are a complete set designed such that people are clear about the concepts and can utilize them in the long run (at least for 5-6 yrs but with the required updates). We are there even before the service & after the service.
Being the CEO & MD of the Medini, elaborate on your leadership style. Tell about the strategies that go into transforming the courses?
It's true that spearheading a company bestows one with hell loads of responsibilities. Here, I

have been involved in overall execution of the business process, starting with deployment of technology in our courses to marketing and consecutively customer satisfaction. As the leader I ensure to never miss out on any step in the process of implementation execution, delivery and satisfaction of the client. To avoid any loop-holes in deliverable's quality, we sit together and plan each and every activity. At Medini, each & every employee is the owner, hence they take care of the business nitpicks such that company grows extensively. It's all about our growth, rather I want to grow. I believe in "Big ideas will never make us big, until we work on it continuously".

Take us through the growth and future roadmap of Medini?
Medini's growth has been extensive. Beginning with a room's space in Bengaluru with a team of four, today we are present across six locations and our rich team comprises of 50+ professionals worldwide. Also, where we were accompanying only one institute for the de-sign programs in their academic curriculum, the count has become 20+institutions now. We are even conducting regular workshops, FDP, industry ready training programs at 50+ institutes every year. However, our reach doesn't limit here, we are also part of many of the industries as their corporate training partner.
Our association is growing day by day, as everyone is looking to share their experience & knowledge, and be a part of bridging Academia & Industry. Journey started with only Medini School of Design as Authorized Training, Certification & Academic Partner (2008), but today we are into Medini Design Services(2014), Medini Software Sales & Solutions(2015), and it's still on.
Converting a technical campus as industries is our vision, which we feel happening soon. As many of the technical institutes we are working on. Everything counts with an experience but when the industries benefit the economy will be rich. MAKE IN INDIA.
