The rich cultural and historical heritage, variety in ecology, terrains and places of natural beauty spread across the country makes India highly potential for tourism. It is a significant source of foreign exchange for the country and one of the largest employment generator sectors, indirectly nurturing the hotels and resorts business in the country. Owing to the high arrival rate of foreign tourists and business delegates, the hotel industry in India is expected to reach a value of Rs. 1,210.87 billion by the end of 2023, expanding at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13 percent. Kerala is anticipated to be the leading provider of hospitality services in the country, with a total of 440 approved hotels. The resorts are in high demand, flooding with domestic tourists hoping to take a break from regular life. The government has allowed 100 percent FDI in tourism and related recreational construction projects, and is acting as driving force for the development of new hotels across the country.
Being successful in the hospitality industry is a difficult task, as the future of the business lies in the satisfaction of guest. Guests should be happy and return to the place of business.
