Give a brief introduction to the events that shaped your career and your love for the hospitality domain.
Hospitality is not just my profession, it's my passion. From a young age my parent’s love for hospitality inspired me, I was exposed to the dynamics of the discipline and developed a keen interest. I was free to choose my path, but the possibilities of what could be achieved in traditional Indian hospitality excited me. Before becoming a part of the family legacy I wanted to gain knowledge of the industry. In the beginning of my career I worked with some of the most esteemed hospitality brands in the country such as ITC Maurya, Kingdom of Dreams and Galaxy Hotel. This was an immersive learning experience which helped me understand the intricacies and the profundity of the hospitality world. The power of story telling and its role in growth of a brand has always attracted my attention. My focus is also on strategic planning, team nurturing, innovative business practice adaptation, motivational management and organizational development.
My parents are an institution when it comes to Indian traditional hospitality. They have taught valuable lessons and intricacies that
no formal hospitality education and training can teach. Working together on building the brand and advancing it has been the most enriching learning that I could have asked for. While one is an expert on organization building, management, people skills and innovative approach. The other is skilled in creativity, art, design and aesthetics. Together they are a bank of knowledge, amazing researchers and proficient in culinary heritage. My journey with such varied think-tanks has prepared me for leading a unique hospitality brand and motivated me to plan to take an Indian Luxury Hospitality Brand to newer heights and make a mark on the global hospitality map.

Our luxury heritage hotel brand, Noor Mahal Palace’s premium restaurant called ‘Colonel Saab’ is in the making and should be operational in London around July this year, at High Holborn located in Central London. Colonel Saab will celebrate the depth of Indian flavours with a contemporary take. This is just the first move, and hopefully we will be able to replicate it in other parts of the world.
What is Noor Mahal hotels’ unique proposition that differentiates from your competitors? Explain your USP.
What sets us apart is that Noor Mahal is an unmatched earthy brand. We have literally built the brand from ground up with the essence of warm Indian hospitality being a part of the very DNA of our organization. The Indianness and royal palatial concept does not stop at the tangible aspects such as the architecture, decor and cuisine. We have ensured that it reflects in our ambience, service, even in our mannerisms.
What are the strategies you leverage to ensure quality & hygiene services and safety of your clients/customers and employees?
A hospitality brand cannot at any cost take hygiene and quality services lightly. Right from the beginning of our operations we have been very attentive towards cleanliness and hygiene protocols. We diligently continued with our hygiene and cleaning practices with some upgrades such as proper use of masks and sanitizers by all the staff members. The good thing is that the palatial architecture and design of Noor Mahal makes it naturally well ventilated and provides ample space to implement social distancing. In our upgrades to ensure safety of our guests and staff, we drastically reduced close human interventions by implementing contactless servicing with the assistance of latest technology solutions. And at the earliest opportunity available we got vaccinations for all our team members through every level of the organization to ensure their safety.
What advice would you like to give to the young entrepreneurs(s) in India and what would tell them to expect in their journey?
If you take on the task of an entrepreneur then expect challenges, difficulties and roadblocks. But at the same time expect inspiration, guidance and motivation from your support structure. You will not have all the answers but that is ok you can build capability of getting the answers.
