Shiv Nadar, nicknamed ‘Magnus’ (Persian for wizard) by his friends is the Founder & Chairman of HCL, accredited with its transformation from an IT hardware company into an IT enterprise. Forging result-oriented partnerships & innovations, he manoeuvres his firm in creating valuable ventures & alliances that contributed to the organizations’ emergence as a global technology enterprise. A philanthropist with focus on education & healthcare, he has established the SSN College of Engineering in Chennai, in the name of his father, and six other institutions covering the entire spectrum of education, aimed at addressing the issue of quality in education, creating lasting partnerships & robust research orientation.
