Socomec Greater India Appointed Nida Khanam as the New HR Head

Socomec, a prominent global expert in Low Voltage (LV) power management, has appointed Nida Khanam, a seasoned HR professional with twenty years of expertise, as the HR Head for the Greater India region (India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Bhutan & Nepal). Nisha Gupta Malhotra, the former incumbent of this position, will now contribute to advancing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda in the APAC region.

Khanam brings a rich depth of experience in crafting and spearheading HR strategies and procedures, showcasing a successful history of steering HR transformations within varied cultural landscapes and navigating change management. Before joining Socomec India, Khanam held the position of Chief People Officer at Omega Seiki Mobility Pvt Ltd. Possessing broad experience spanning automotive, manufacturing, and technology sectors, Nida has proven her adeptness in guiding organizational development efforts, overseeing talent management, driving talent acquisition, and managing the employee lifecycle. Her prior professional engagements encompass roles at GROHE, Lixil Water Technology, and Rockwell Automation.

In her role at Socomec India, Khanam will lead HR operations spanning commercial and plant activities, focusing on bolstering employee engagement, fostering talent development, and optimizing organizational effectiveness. Leveraging her strategic foresight and proactive approach, Khanam aims to solidify Socomec India's reputation as a preferred employer within the power solutions sector.

In her statement, Khanam expressed her pleasure in assuming the new role, saying, “As I embark on this exciting journey with Socomec India, I’m deeply moved by the dynamic and passionate people who underpin Socomec’s achievements. My vision is to uphold this culture of excellence through people-centric initiatives and values-driven practices. My immediate focus will be on fortifying our HR function to align with our business objectives. Collaborating closely with the India Management team, I am committed to evangelize & lead transformative changes in our people processes, enhancing capabilities, and nurturing talent retention. Khanam is a certified Associate Coach (ACC) accredited by the International Coaching Federation, boasting a distinguished array of awards and recognition over the course of her career. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Senior Management Program at IIM-Calcutta and holds an MBA specializing in Human Resources & Agribusiness from A.M.U.
