TVS Supply Chain Solution Wins Contract from Centrica plc

As reported by a person familiar with the development, TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) has secured a business deal from the iconic Centrica plc - a FTSE100 company and the UK's leading energy services and solutions company that also operates British Gas - for their supply chain transformation. This Rs 2,000 crore deal is for seven years with two option years.

Centrica will manage and transform its supply chain operations with the help of TVS SCS. According to a person familiar with the development, TVS SCS will provide its global supply chain expertise as well as a suite of its in-built, state-of-the-art proprietary IT systems - Msys - and automate the supply chain in accordance with Centrica's business requirements.

This transformational deal will enable Centrica to consolidate its logistics footprint through a new Centre of Excellence campus, which will be supported by state-of-the-art automation; digital ordering and fulfilment; end-to-end visibility and planning; and a flexible final mile delivery and returns service.

Through its UK operations, TVS SCS manages approximately 3 million items per day for customers in the automotive, beverage, defence, healthcare, rail, and utilities sectors. These clients rely on TVS SCS's ability to build and manage a resilient supply chain that actively mitigates supply risk from global disruptions.

It provides consulting, product data management, strategic purchasing, data analytics, inventory management, warehousing, and last mile delivery, among other services. TVS SCS employs approximately 3000 people across 45 locations in the United Kingdom.
