In 2020, the government of India announced the National Education Policy(NEP), aiming for a massive transformation in education. NEP is poised to bring an education system rooted in Indian ethos that contributes directly to transforming India sustainably into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society. It is one of India’s endeavors to democratize high-quality education, thereby making India a global knowledge superpower. The leading business schools in the country are joining this revolution. Recently, the ICFAI Business School(IBS), Hyderabad, a constituent of ICFAI Foundation for Higher
Education, Deemed-to-be University, announced the launch of four-year BCom and BBA programs starting this academic year.

ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education Vice Chancellor Prof. LS Ganesh explained that the structure of the newly launched programs effectively recognizes, identifies, and fosters the unique capabilities of each student to promote her/his competencies and character. With this, students who joined the four-year BBA and BCom programs in August will go through the new curriculum. IBS Director Prof. Venu Gopal Rao said the decision to adopt the four year curriculum and credit framework was taken after extensive and incisive discussions with relevant stake holders – students, faculty, educationists, alumni, and recruiters.

Established in 1995, ICFAI is promoted by the ICFAI Group. The trio N.J. Yasaswy, Besant C. Raj, and Dr. Prasanna Chandra founded the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India(ICFAI), a not-for-profit educational society, four decades ago. The major programs offered at IBS Hyderabad include MBA, PhD and BBA. In this yearly special issue, we unfold some exciting stories from the IBS alumni ecosystem.
