Technology at the Heart of Hybrid in 'The New Now'

These are unique times – I call it ‘THE NEW NOW’. The ‘New Now’ needs continued innovation, focused on empowering people for the evolving future of work and in turn deliver customer experiences that amaze.

‘THE NEW NOW’ arrived ahead of the schedule challenging all of us. In these times, work will never be the same again as majority of employees across industries are preferring a hybrid work model. To keep pace with it and keep the business running, there is a strategic need to support distributed workforce to work from anywhere while promoting collaborative workspaces in office. Whether you look at employees’ preferences, employers’ policies, or IT’s new responsibilities, work has forever changed. Through this, tech has risen to the occasion as the here, but also with a new identity.

But what does hybrid work look like? There is no right or wrong answer. But there is a never-before opportunity for technology. This amplified level of human-technology synergy calls for innovative companies to reimagine and enable a culture, thriving on collaboration and creativity. Moreover, build a productive, creative, future-proofed and engaged workforce, wherein people can connect, grow, and carve out a career, eventually creating the right solution that works for YOU. After all, there will be no one-size-fits-all in the ‘New Now’.

At the HEART OF HYBRID IS TECH - for all workers, whether they are mobile, remote, or in the office. As it is important to enable everybody, no matter where they’re working, to feel like their well-being is a priority for their employer.
By integrating disconnected tools, organizations are afforded an amazing opportunity to bring best-of-breed tools together with their own unique business solutions to have the best of both worlds. At the same time, use of right sized, simple and easy to use collaborative tools is becoming important to help deliver experience of being in the room from any room.

With increased intervention of technology, it is important that we don’t lose sight of building a sustainable world

In-house IT teams that have historically been centered on providing technology infrastructure and tools in dedicated, centralized spaces must now make remote work a normal part of the technology environment. As much as possible, work processes need to be digital and available through the internet since employees are scattered and will remain that way. Thus, tools enabling mobility, collaboration and security must be designed to facilitate hybrid workplaces that maximize productivity. Endpoints will play a crucial role in this shift as the entire office is now on the endpoint. With increased intervention of technology, it is important that we don’t lose sight of building a sustainable world. It becomes more important of how one strategize, procures, distributes, manage, and dispose assets.

The future is projected to be defined by varying demographics, accelerated innovations, hyper globalization. These forces give companies foresight into how their physical environments, work habits, employees and prospective employees will change, and what they must do to modernize their offerings to stay relevant and secure. This is a unique opportunity for organizations to make required shifts for the hybrid world. This will lead to higher employee engagement and lower attrition, eventually helping them to maintain or develop a competitive edge.

Ultimately, agility and adaptability is going to be the key to success, as always!
