Students develop a growth mindset when they realize that their abilities can be nurtured. Developing a growth mindset requires evolving of adequate skills that prepare students for the future. With a similar intention and vision in mind, Aaryaman Sharma along with Aarav Phutela founded their venture Stintern; a unique platform for high-school students to develop their skills through internships. Aaryaman Sharma, Co-founder, Stintern has proved that age does not matter when it comes to knowledge and innovation.

The young entrepreneur has achieved great heights of success through his innovative ideas even before turning 18. His exceptional will, determination, creativity, and innovation have helped him to achieve his dreams and succeed in his endeavor at such an early age. His astounding communication skills has got him the invitation to address students in the opening ceremony of the Youth Ideathon and GCEC. Apart from being a sincere student and an extraordinary entrepreneur, Aaryaman is also a black belt in Taekwondo and loves to engage himself in robotics. Let’s hear it from him.

Tell us about the benchmarks that Stintern has set in its journey so far.
We are working in a very niche industry and not many players have entered the market yet. Our innovative approach towards getting internships to young high schoolers has received much recognition within a span of one year of its inception. This has brought numerous accomplishments we were the first runner-up in the Youth Ideathon - 2021 winning the cash prize of 60,000, and we were the second runnerup in a competition
hosted by IIT Roorkee, where we secured a cash prize of 30,000. Moreover, we were shortlisted for the Top Three Startups in Rajasthan and also received a cash prize of 10,000 for the same. Very recently, we won the Pitch CAFE 3.0 and got a cash prize of 30,000.

Our ultimate goal is to make this platform accessible to every student in India so that they can explore their interests and create an excellent profile for acquiring better career options

What kind of programs do you offer to high school students? Also how do such internships benefit students in the long run?
Our business idea and model are quite different from the already available platforms in the market. Most platforms give coaching to students where students pay a large sum of money for professional courses that are taught by experienced educators. But that does not give them the real skill or practical knowledge that they would require in the long run. Hence, to prepare young students for future endeavors we give them internships. This works in a very unique way.

Some companies want to hire interns for various tasks that are feasible for students, like, content writing, video editing, and photo editing, and they want affordable interns who can do their tasks with a lot of passion. On the other hand, the students who work in these companies are exposed to a variety of opportunities where they develop their skills and knowledge. And in return, this exposure helps them to choose the right career and develop an impressive college profile for themselves. So, it is a win-win situation on both ends.

We have worked with around 200 students and 60 companies as our clients each of them has given us great feedback.
As the breeding ground of your company, how has been Jaipur favoring you so far in your operations?
We belong to Jaipur and that has been our primary reason to start our venture here. Secondly, we already had connections with people & students here who helped us build our client base. We also have students signed up from the school where I study; this also helped us to approach many other schools in Jaipur. It has been easier to expand in Jaipur and today we are in a good position here. On a successful note, we are planning to cover the entirety of Jaipur before moving to a new city.

What are your future goals for Stintern?
For the first few years, we want to focus only on internships for high schoolers. For our expansion, we are planning to conduct offline events where students can gather, share their talents and engage in various influential activities. We are also planning to host an internship fair within the premises of Neerja Modi School and create ways for students to connect with companies and secure internships for them selves. Our ultimate goal is to make this platform accessible to every student in India so that they can explore their interests and create an excellent profile for acquiring better career and college options.
