Marketing and Sales are the backbone of revenue growth. However, businesses often find themselves drowning in Vanilla Marketing using the traditional approaches that inevitably result in poor Return on Investment (ROI). Marketing without ROI is like a joke without a punch line, it might be there, but no one gets it.

Hence, Benazir Khan, the founder of Muralytix Revenue Labs, a bespoke growth-hacking firm, engages a three-pronged approach, combining innovative Sales & Marketing strategies with advanced Data Analytics to focus on ROI. Her 15 years of experience in data management, business intelligence, and marketing leadership at various capacities highly complements this approach. She founded Muralytix, a revenue lab specializing in strategic marketing and revenue realization for B2B technology companies, particularly those targeting markets in North America and Europe.

Unlike traditional marketing agencies, Muralytix focuses on delivering measurable business out comes by integrating data-driven strategies and AI augmented marketing techniques with innovation. An alumnus of the University of Texas, Benazir is with us for an exclusive discussion wherein she shares a glimpse of her entrepreneurial journey.

What are the valuable lessons you acquired from the University of Texas, and how accessible were the faculty during your time at the University?

The AI for Leaders course at UT was a perfect fit for my work in Account-Based Marketing (ABM), a data-driven field that requires extensive analysis to identify the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). Through the course, I gained expertise in tools like Konstanz Information Miner (KNIME) and techniques such as Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), enhancing my ability to assess data relationships.

While I was familiar with analytics, this program introduced machine learning for predictive modeling, helping me train algorithms to identify high
- conversion customers. The course, delivered via pre-recorded content and industry workshops, provided a collaborative learning experience with direct faculty interaction. It wasn’t just theoretical, it equipped me with practical AI-driven frameworks for better customer targeting.

What is one memory that stands out to you the most from the University?

For our capstone project submission, we were placed in entirely new teams, different from those we had worked with throughout the course, which felt like a deliberate challenge, pushing us to build relationships and mutual understanding before we could collaborate effectively. The diversity within the team made the experience even more enriching.

Strategic leaders don’t wait for market shifts, they evolve ahead of them, with personal growth as the OG prototype

Each member brought a unique perspective, from marketing and finance to HR and tech. This dynamic mirrored real world startup and enterprise environments, fostering well-rounded discussions.

Strong leadership requires understanding multiple view points rather than relying on a single area of expertise. This capstone experience embodied that principle, reinforcing the importance of a holistic approach to problem-solving and decision making.

How have you stayed in touch with the alumni network?

The alumni network, particularly within my cohort, helped me build a lot of meaningful friendships. Even after the program ended, I stayed in touch with four or five peers, and we continue to have project-related discussions. I naturally gravitated toward people who shared similar ideologies around data and its practical application, making collabo -ration feel seamless.

In fact, some of them have even helped me handle real challenges. I haven’t yet fully explored the broader UT alumni network for more opportunities, including potential colla - borations, which I will be leveraging more strategically moving forward.

Could you define your leadership style?

I see myself as an enabler rather than a traditional leader. To me,
being replace able signifies that I have empowered my team to grow and succeed independently. My goal is to create an environment where people thrive, not just by adopting effective strategies, but by fostering a positive mindset and strong collaboration.

Those who have worked with me are inspired to give their best, not due to strict targets, but because of the culture we build together. Having experienced every stage of marketing, I work alongside my team, not just from the top. Real learning happens when we solve problems together.

How do you look at your future roadmap?

I am committed to supporting at least one startup annually, helping them scale to a $1 million ARR milestone through pro bono consulting. Over the next 5 to 10 years, my vision is to create a platform that enables businesses to harness Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and data intelligence to refine their campaigns. This tool would allow users to input product details or extract data from their website, generating a strategic 12-month roadmap. It would identify the top 100 target enterprises and outline a comprehensive campaign strategy, revo -lutionizing B2B marketing.

What would be your advice to the upcoming leaders based on your experience?

I strongly believe that investing in personal growth is the most valuable investment. Despite having various demands on our spending, directing resources toward personal growth, especially through learning, sets you on a lifelong path of improvement. Elevating oneself also enables knowledge-sharing with those lacking resources, creating a ripple effect that leads to exponential personal and collective growth, a truly powerful impact.
