Take us through your educational background and professional background.
With immense interest in engineering, I started my career when I was 16 on receiving a skill based scholarship to study and work in the UK. The experience helped me get trained in all the basic aspects of business with the hands on apprenticeship. At the same time, college taught me the science behind engineering, material processes, machining components, and more. With more learning and exposure, my career in the industry witnessed growth from production engineer to production manager and senior management position. After my higher education, I moved to contract manufacturing in the Civil aviation sector.
In 2011,I realised that the Indian aerospace market was still emerging and multiple opportunities still were open where my skills could be put to better use. I came to India on a JV assignment but then realized that I would stay and joined a company in investment casting technology and precision machined components. Managed the Indian unit from its death bed to becoming one of the best and world recognised Vacuum casting facilities for 5's,lean systems and working environment and quality. Got the business in the right direction with less than 1 ppm for five years from 288+.This experience bestows me with great satisfaction.
In 2014, I decided to get back into aerospace by setting up my own business and started a partnership firm in Pune. After three years, then ventured AARAN 1 Engineering to bring something different to the table in the industry.

AARAN 1 Engineering is a fast growing manufacturing company leading the industry with HighPrecision Engineering Components, Mechanical Sub Assemblies, and Tooling Systems for the Aerospace, Oil &Gas, and Medical sector. It has a manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, India, which is currently delivering a capacity of over 500k hrs per year on CNC precision machining spread over a shop area of 30K Sq.Ft. We are specialists in a wide range of industrial sectors such as Aerospace, Oil & Gas, medical, and energy and hold key OEM approvals such as ROLLS ROYCE, ELBIT, RAFAEL, NADCAP NDT, CIRCOR, HINE, INCORA, and many more.
The manufacturing capability at AARAN 1 Engineering leverages best-in-class manufacturing processes, state-of-the-art technologies. And a globally aware management team with a proven track record of aerospace business development and supply solutions. The facility is temperature controlled with the latest CNC Machines, Carl Zeiss inspection equipment along with robust quality processes & procedures which have resulted in effective lead times, low PPM, and achievable quality requirements as per global aero

Highlight the one-of-a-kind products offered by AARAN 1Engineering
We build a wide range of products such as engine components(elbows, adaptors, ‘T' pieces, connectors, reducers/`Y' Pieces), complex machined components (large rings/ flanges/ brackets/valves block), and SBAC ‘AS' & ‘A' Series Standards Nuts, pins and dowels. Our product portfolio includes high precision turning and 5 axis milling and wire cutting small precision parts, structural parts for aircrafts, aluminium enclosures,precision aluminium components, small assemblies, aerospace display enclosures, precision turning components, complex machined brackets, engineering plastics, and 3D printing in plastics and metal.
How has been the journey of AARAN 1 Engineering under your leadership?
Intending to build an organization that supplies trust and delivers quality to the clients' expectations, we have invested in high quality equipment and machinery. We also recently added our own range of CNC accessories and have started to market them globally to support everyone and make life easier.
We are proud of our business and the relationships developed over the years with our customer. We believe in total customer satisfaction and will always work closely with them to ensure we meet and respond to their individual needs.
Engineering cannot be downplayed to seek benefit. This means various public sectors across the world need to maintain quality supplied in order to retain dominance in their respective markets. Leveraging 26+ years of experience and expertise, I am trying to make every process clean and smooth for becoming the first choice supplier within the precision engineering sector.
What is the impact of COVID-19 on the aerospace and defence sector? How did you overcome the struggles caused by the pandemic?
Though the pandemic disrupted the sector significantly, we approached the outbreak with a commercial strategy of repositioning ourselves into other verticals as well. We made a quick decision to find customers from other markets. We fast tracked ourselves into the medical sector not letting the COVID scenario hamper our business. We also bought some unique products that we designed in house for the CNC/Metal cutting industry.
