Right from the time he was pursuing Btech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, leadership & mettle were deep rooted within him. With immense learnings from his journey with IIT, he is outshining as a well versed leader. Never letting go of opportunities to improve himself, Krishnakanta Completed his education in Executive Business Management at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. It is his hard work, dedication, and determination that made him climb the success ladder and stand as an inspiration for many.

Take us through your professional background and lessons learned in the journey.
My career began with Accelya (erstwhile Kale Consultants), where I could travel to different countries and gain multicultural and multinational exposure. I have experience working with different cultures in India and abroad and I have been working closely with clients throughout my career. After spending close to seven years with the company, I joined AG technologies. Subsequently, I worked with a startup for a year or

so and in 2010, I plunged into entrepreneurship by starting Web Connect India. I also founded another startup called K2S2 Digistrat Solutions a full service digital transformation and technology firm. Alongside the business, I am also the Director of Freemont digital.

The journey so far has been excellent, and I am happy to share that I have been able to contribute to several transformation stories in organizations spread across the globe.

How has been the influence of IIT Kharagpur on you? What learnings do you carry even today in your professional journey?
I have always been in search of innovation and transformation in every organization I work with. IIT fuelled this passion and shaped my interest in solving problems using technology. The faculty and my peers definitely made me solve complex problems and helped me thrive as a result oriented professional.

The journey with the institute transformed me as an individual, right from my thought process. The learnings are helping me portray the best in every role I take charge of. In more than 20 years of my professional journey after leaving IIT, I have orchestrated cross functional teams to deliver innovations. With handson experience in product management, technology, digital products, consulting, and more, I have been able to transcend businesses into profitable brands.

Give a brief on your brainchild. How is the company catering to the digital needs of the clients?
In the fast advancing world, digitization is the spine of any business’s stability in the market. When it comes to digital transformation every company

requires a partner that can understand the criticality of the present day market scenario, adapt to technology, and help them sustain in the long run. Businesses are usually prone to vulner ability. What challenges did you face as a startup founder, and what did the experience teach you?
Honestly, my first startup failed and it has taught me a lot. The thump of failure helped me realize the Importance of a strong team that is well aligned with your vision. Without a good team, no business will sustain longer. Adapting to good people management strategies and hiring the right talent has definitely helped us over time with the second startup.

The second challenge and milestone at the same time was implementing a solution in 40 countries. Right from equipping the team to designing the solution and successfully implementing it, every part was a challenge and major achievement too. We also could reduce 30-40 percent of the operation cost through our solution.
