Among students who have just completed India's equivalent of the 12th grade, engineering is a very common choice for a major in college. Maharashtra is one of the most popular states in India for students to enroll in engineering courses. Several of India's most prestigious and well-known schools of engineering are located in this state. More than 600 engineering schools are now operating in Maharashtra. Moreover, the first private engineering college in Maharashtra, the Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), was the idea of a man who dreamt of changing the state's current state of affairs and who saw the necessity to create it, which is Dr. Vishwanath Karad.

Reverend Professor (Dr.) Vishwanath Karad dreamed of starting the MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School one day, and that dream has become a reality. These schools, colleges, universities, and hospitals are the first step in what has become a long journey toward a brighter future for the state and the nation. Udayan Verma is currently the Head of Admissions & Outreach at MIT Pune's Vishwashanti Gurukul Schools.

Could you tell us about the learning experience offered to students by VGS?
For children between the ages of three and nineteen, VGS (Vishwashanti Gurukul School) - An IB World School is dedicated to offering an outstanding education. VGS's three academic programs PYP (Primary Years Programme), MYP (Middle Years Programme), and DP (Diploma Programme are all associated with the International Baccalaureate Organization Geneva) (Diploma Programme). The mission of the school is to inspire a lifelong curiosity for knowledge and create an environment where all students are actively involved in their learning and where teachers are committed to helping each student reach his or her fullest potential. The school's mission is to educate students using cutting-edge techniques while instilling in them a great sense of pride in their ancient Indian heritage and traditional values.
Tell us about the student teacher equation that the school maintains to offer students an excellent learning experience.
The excellent quality of teaching at Vishwashanti Gurukul (an IB World School) is ensured by the school's dedication to both continual teacher training and a modest student-to-teacher ratio (around 1:10). In addition to teaching students how to define and achieve specific goals and how to keep track of their progress toward those goals, we provide them with all the tools they need to make the most of their educational experiences. VGS maintains a high standard of education delivery without sacrificing any elements by managing a thorough feedback system for all stakeholders.

What infrastructural amenities are provided by VGS?Also, detail the residential arrangements available to students.
Vishwashanti Gurukul (IB World School) is situated on the Rajbaug campus, which includes the Institute of Technology, Institute of Design, Institute of Film Studies, Academy of Navel Engineering and Technology, College of Music, and other educational institutions. VGS is very grateful for the assistance of these partner institutions. Our young scientific students often attend guest lectures from MIT- Institute of Technology professors, and the Design students gain complete assistance and access to the great design studios of the MIT Design institute. This is not only a benefit for students, but it is also a great help for instructors.

Furthermore, VGS provides its boarding students with an exceptional residential facility. Students have access to the greatest facilities in a shared room, which is monitored by loving boarding parents, allowing them to establish a disciplined lifestyle. The sports facilities are exceptional and capable of developing state and national level athletes. Swimming,
badminton, archery, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, chess, table tennis, and other sports are taught at the school.

Describe the school's offerings for students' personal and academic growth, including both required and optional extracurricular. Extracurricular activities are an essential component of schooling. They provide a range of talents and experiences that enhance the academic program. VGS offers a variety of extra curricular and co-curricular groups, such as Drama, Debate, Editorial, Model United Nations, TEDx, Cooking, Visual and Performing Arts, and more. Students are required to choose one group that meets their preferences and objectives.

At VGS, we have an ambitious goal of assisting students with their IDP (Individual Development Plans). Every student at VGS gets help and direction to develop an Individual Development Plan (IDP) that is produced by the student, led by subject instructors, supported by the counselors, monitored by the program directors and open to parental involvement. These IDPs strive to realise each student's genuine and complete potential. We encourage students not to settle for mediocre performance but to strive for greater production. Constant effort is expended to become a better version of oneself. This supportive environment keeps students motivated to grow and enhance their abilities, instead of just memorising information for higher test scores. We evaluate our students based on a criteria-referencing approach, where each criterion describes a skill to gain rather than a score to accomplish.

What are ways you are nurturing Indian cultural heritage and values among students?
VGS takes great pride in its ties to the Indian culture and ethos of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', a worldwide family and its 'world peace prayer,' which are reflected in the school's regular morning prayer and serve to remind students of their ultimate goal in life: the establishment of global harmony. After opening its doors in 2006, VGS has sent out graduates as peacekeepers all around the globe since 2011.
