Founder & CEO

Most real estate entrepreneurs place a great value on building long term relationships with their clients because they feel that customer satisfaction is a key component of success. Those who are satisfied with your service are more likely to spread the word about you to their near and dear ones, value your recommendations and insight, and seal deals more quickly. As a result, real estate firm owners that invest in methodologies to make their clients delighted will see an increase in business, revenue, generate leads, and out¬reach. The perfect example to prove this factor is Narasimha V Reddy, the Founder & CEO of Tru Dwellings.

Narasimha is a seasoned entrepreneur who has been active in the real estate market for a significant amount of time. A lifestyle is shown in his work, and Narasimha is committed to the notion of creating places people enjoy living. Below is an excerpt of Narasimha’s exclusive interaction with CEO Insights.

What inspired you to take up entre preneurship?
I worked in the corporate for six to seven years and then I chose to enter into my family business, which works in the real estate market. Eventually, I found myself to be the Director and Managing Partner of Incor Infrastructure Private Limited a separate entity from the family enterprise, again in the real estate industry. Then, I founded another health tech startup under the name RYT. Life and I oversee these three firms currently. My family's entrepreneurial spirit is perhaps what sparked my interest in building my own business, given the majority of my family is in that profession. And secondly, I've always aspired to run an organization at some point in my life. In addition to wanting to achieve as much as possible, I wanted to give back to society through service. Because we are
essentially going to hire the employees while we're conducting business, and that will indirectly help families. Likely from the beginning of my entrepreneurial career, I have had this goal in mind.

Could you talk about the learnings and experience that you had acquired from ICFAI Business School and how you apply them in your current role?
I believe that ICFAI has played a significant role in initiating the whole thought process of entrepreneurship. The case study methodology is one of the things that has worked well for me in running my company and continues to do so. During my MBA at ICFAI, I did not know the importance of case studies, now that being in the corporate industry and as an important the relevance of those case studies. Because the solutions we established then are now assisting me in implementing the same in my actual business.

As entrepreneurs, we face several obstacles, including business formation, branding, marketing, accounting, finance, and many others. The business side of things allows me to see and experience personally how important it is to have a strong under standing of the problem at hand to find a solution. Hence, the insights I gained from those case studies continue to aid me in handling everyday challenges with ease.

Define Tru Dwellings as an organization and where is it positioned in the industry?
As Bangalore is a very large market with new real estate firms rising every day, we strive for a highly organized approach. Tru Dwellings is more of a customer service-oriented organization; we guarantee a lifestyle rather than merely a home constructed with straight brick, cement, or concentrated walls. Builders often see real estate as a building of apartments but say they want to view it as a service, and not as a product. However, what we do is develop longterm connections with our customers and provide services that result in 100% customer satisfaction. As a result, I feel that a delighted customer is likely to suggest many of his own
contracts and be willing to accept even more business in the future.

Reflect on some of the major challenges you have experienced in your journey so far? How did you overcome them and what did you learn from them?
In our industry, there are many challenges, but proper business planning is essential since, as entrepreneurs, we often make decisions based on emotion rather than rationality. During such settings, we make mistakes, and I've been there myself. I had two other businesses in the early years, and I had to leave one because of internal disputes, and I couldn't dedicate enough time to the other.

However, when I'm establishing anything new today, based on my past experiences, the first thing I do is devote considerable time to it, and it's crucial to have a detailed plan of action. In addition, as an entrepreneur, I ensure to have a detailed business strategy and the correct personnel in place for each department's effective implementation. When I began working on my first projects, I was a one-man army. Eventually, I began employing team members and assigning duties to them, which assisted me in growing our operations, resulting in the expansion of our firm.

Going forward, what are the goals that you wish to invest in and how do you plan to take them further?
For the next five years, my primary aim is to expand all three firms into a well-known brand with annual revenue of around 2000 crores. To get there, everyone in the company has to contribute, and it's my responsibility as the leader to keep employees motivated and to make sure we are using our resources wisely.
