With your extensive aviation experience, what key mile- stones bring you joy and pride in your professional growth?
Reflecting on my journey in aviation, the milestones that bring me the most pride are tied to both personal and industry growth. I began my career studying aircraft maintenance engineering at the Indian Institute of Aeronautics, which set a strong foundation. My internship at Jet Airways, followed by joining Kingfisher Airlines as a technician, was a significant early achievement. Becoming an ATR engineer at Kingfisher was a proud moment, but when the
airline collapsed, it marked a turning point. Moving into consultancy introduced me to the aircraft leasing industry, a crucial career shift.
Pursuing an aerospace MBA at Toulouse Business School further expanded my horizons. Leading the aircraft transition division for a French company was a major highlight, as I successfully helped the company generate significant revenue. Founding my own consultancy business during the pandemic was another defining moment, enabling me to innovate within the aviation sector and support the global community of engineers and consultants.
What inspired you to pursue a career in aviation? Why this field?
My fascination with airplanes and their engineering sparked my passion for aviation. From an early age, I knew I wanted to be an engineer, breaking away from the typical expectations for girls in India. When I discovered the field of aircraft maintenance engineering, I was drawn to the mechanics behind how these incredible machines fly. Despite the significant gender imbalance in aviation, especially when I started, I was determined. I was often the only woman in my field, but that only fueled my desire to succeed and make my mark in aviation.
Can you briefly explain your company’s services and the roles and responsibilities you currently handle?
My company, AeroConsultant specializes in assisting aircraft lessors and airlines with lease returns. When an aircraft's lease ends, we provide technical consultancy, inspecting the asset's value, physical condition, and documentation on their behalf. We have a global network of 3,700 consultants across 155 countries, along with 40 dedicated employees. Addi-tionally, we are a licensed EASA CAMO provider, offering airworthiness management and aircraft registration services. Our future vision includes three digital products: AeroBox (digital records library), AeroOIL (global communi-cation tool for aircraft transitions), and AeroOps (AI

You can't be a leader without a team. I believe in the power of collaboration - while a single person can’t move a stone, a united team can move mountains. My success is a reflection of my team’s dedication, so I focus on keeping them motivated and integrated. As for technology, I see it as a tool to enhance human efforts, not replace them. It reshapes how industries operate, increasing efficiency without losing the human element. For instance, the shift to remote work during COVID proved how simple tech like laptops and good Wi-Fi can boost productivity and eliminate time-wasting.
What is your future roadmap for yourself and your company going forward
As an individual, I aspire to excel in my professional and personal life, balancing career achieve-ments with being a suppor-tive mother, ensuring a bright future for my child.
For my company, the roadmap focuses on advancing digitalization within aviation. Despite the industry’s modern aircraft, the documentation and maintenance processes are still outdated. My goal is to transform these processes by inte-grating advanced technology, making the aviation sector more efficient and streamlined. This vision includes enhancing our digital tools and setting new standards for how aviation operates, ensuring we stay at the forefront of technological adv-ancements while improving operational efficiency.
