Tell us about your professional background and experiences. How has your journey been so far at Optic Liting?
After graduating from NIT Calicut and pursuing a postgraduate degree in management, I worked for several years in various lighting companies. We started Optic Liting as a lighting manufacturing company in 2007 after gaining extensive experience in the lighting industry. Coming from a humble middle class back ground, my entrepreneurial journey has been through many challenges and ups and downs.

Could you talk about the learnings and experiences that you acquired from the National Institute of Calicut? What impact did those
experiences have on the way you developed as a leader?
My education at NIT Calicut was at both levels. What I mean is that at both the educational and interpersonal relationship growth levels. Having the opportunity to study alongside students from various social and cultural backgrounds provided me with valuable personal experience. NIT Calicut is one of the premier educational institutes, and the dedication of faculty members in improving the fundamentals of engineering for students is unparalleled. This training enhanced my technical understanding and relation development skills.

Optic's aim as a lighting brand is to be the industry leader in design-centric lighting solutions with world-class quality at a competitive price, with modern lighting technology integrated into the product design for current lighting demands

How would you define Optic Liting as an organization and its position in the market?

What are some of the unforgettable challenges you have experienced in your leadership journey so far? How did you overcome them and what did you learn from them?
The most difficult period for me was during COVID. We had to rebuild our organization, and me and my brother accepted the challenge. I was confident in our knowledge, commitment, and hard work along with full support of my parents, my elder brother Paresh Dave, my family and my mentors Rajiv Vastupal, Ramchandran, and Jitendra Patel, who all helped me financially, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. We worked hard and achieved great result. My most important learning from this phase was that the best thing about time is that it changes. Being tenacious and persistent without losing faith in your terrible times will lead you to your success.

What has been the success mantra that constantly helps you arrive at positive outcomes? Going forward, what are the goals that you wish to invest in and how do you plan to take them further?
In the end Persistence, Commitment and Faith will always give results, knowledge gained is never wasted.

As a rising lighting manufacturing brand, we would like to direct our financial and intellectual resources toward high-end and cutting-edge lighting technologies. The modern era of connected and IoT platform based lighting, as well as human centric smart lighting products, improving the emotional experience and well being of customers for qualitative aspects of Lighting as the fourth dimension of architecture.
