P. Mamatha, was born on 10-08-1969 in Repalle, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. She obtained MBA from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Hyderabad(AP)and MPhil for Dr.B. R. Ambedkar University, Hyderabad. She started her professional work at excel Soft solution, Hyderabad from 1993 to 1998, worked as a lecturer at Ken Degree College, Secunderabad from the academic year 1999-2000, and then moved to Vandana Degree College, Secunderabad from 2000-2006.She took the charge as the Principal, of Siva Sivani Degree College, Kompally in the year 2006. She has more than 23 years of experience in teaching & administration. As a resolute educationist, she is a paragon of energy enthusiasm, productiveness and competence whose intellectual ability and propriety go all the way in nurturing the students and faculty members to create a collaborative partnership.
What is the vision and mission of Siva Sivani Degree College? How is
it bridging the gaps across the Business Analytics education sector?
Our vision is to promote value-based education for all those who need it and establish a center of higher learning that helps develop, nurture and maintain the socio-economic fabric for the common masses of the country in particular and the human race in general, imbibing the motto, 'Learn to Serve'. Our mission is to attune academics to the needs of changing times and facilitate avenues to foster human excellence imbued with a sense of honesty, integrity, and service to be capable of guiding the world unto growing promise and prosperity.
As our mission states, we need to change our strategies and desires, get on a quest for unending knowledge and keep updating on the latest happenings in the Education sector. SSDC believes that Business analytics is the next big thing and a game changer in the industry, bringing the students closer to the industry and enabling them to gain insights into decision making, mainly by providing enterprise solutions at the undergraduate level.
Reflect on some of the courses relevant to Business Analytics provided by your institution. Highlight some of the key offerings that make SSDC stand apart. What are the contemporary technologies being implemented across the various courses offered by Siva Sivani Degree College?
SSDC believes there is much more beyond classroom engagement for sustained learning and has always been a torch bearer, leading the students onto new pathways. Apart from the regular course of study we have implemented fundamental certification courses on MS Office, Advanced Excel, Tally with GST, SAP, Python, and R Programming, case studies, and mini projects on Stock Markets for the Business Analytics students. We custom design activities related to the course to make the students understand the core essence of the course and root them firmly in their area. SSDC has a plethora of activities, including various clubs that enhance the student's knowledge. I believe I am fortunate enough to be a part of the prestigious Siva Sivani group of institutions. From day one, I was given a free hand to choose what is best for the institution and the students. The Management has fully backed every action of mine. During my tenure, we have introduced new courses and sought permissions for starting additional sections in the existing courses to increase the students' in take. Under my guidance, SSDC has been the most sought-after college and has successfully been retaining this status since the last 15 years. Our college has won many accolades from the students parents, and eminent personalities including those from the field of education and highly reputed corporates. Our Students have also won the University Gold medal under the able guidance of faculty and principal.
What is the future roadmap envisioned for Siva Sivani Degree College?
We would like to go for the NAAC accreditation at the earliest since we believe that we provide quality education for holistic student development while giving the society the best. We are always in search of the best practices and strive to enhance the standards of education day in and day out. We are working on obtaining a Deemed to be University status soon.
